COMPOSITION CONTAINING 3-HYDROXYANTHRANILIC ACID AND COMPOUNDS THAT ALTER IRON HOMEOSTASIS AND METHOD OF ITS USE
20250127740 · 2025-04-24 ·

A composition containing 3-hydroxyanthanilic acid (3HAA) and a compound that alters iron homeostasis (an iron chelator or an iron supplement). The combination may be used as a new antibiotic drug. Combining 3HAA with iron chelation may have the dual benefit of inhibiting pathogen growth while repressing the pathological hyperinflammatory response in septic individuals. The combination may be effective at preserving food by preventing bacterial growth.

USE OF POLYAMINOISOPRENYL DERIVATIVES IN ANTIBIOTIC OR ANTISEPTIC TREATMENT

The present invention relates to the use of polyaminoisoprenyl derivatives in antibiotic or antiseptic treatment of bacteria including those presenting multiple drug resistance (MDR), in particular as efflux pump inhibitors. It also relates to novel polyaminoisoprenyl derivatives, compositions comprising the same, process for preparing the same, and use thereof in antibiotic or antiseptic treatment.

METHOD FOR INHIBITING YEAST ACTIVITY

The combination of EGCG and a derivative of a basic amino acid has been found to be an effective anti-yeast agent in acidic food. The present invention relates to a method for controlling or preventing the growth of yeast in acidic food (i.e. with a pH between 2 and 6) comprising adding to said food a) epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) and b) a derivative of a basic amino acid, and/or a salt thereof, as an anti-yeast agent. The present invention further relates to a composition for addition to food and to an acidic food comprising said composition.

MIXTURE FOR ANTIFUNGAL, ANTIBACTERIAL AND ANTIVIRAL TREATMENT

Mixture for the antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral treatment of plants and of ingredients or foods intended for human and/or zootechnical consumption includes: at least one chitosan or at least on salified chitosan from 35% to 85 % by weight, at least one cationic surfactant from 0.05% to 40% by weight, at least one compound containing copper from 0.1% to 10% in the case of mixtures intended for treatment for human or animal nutrition and from 10% to 40% in the case of mixtures intended for the control of fungal diseases in plants at least one inorganic acid from 2% to 20% by weight, and/or at least one organic acid from 10% to 20%, with an overall pH between 2.0 and 8.4.

FUNCTIONAL WATER
