Railcar Body Made of Mating Panels Having a Predetermined Gap There in Between
A railcar body comprises at least one panel assembly having a first panel and a second panel, both extending longitudinally along the railcar body and adjacently to each other. The inner wall of the first and second panels, which are longer than their outer wall, respectively have at least a first and a second mating interface which are different from each other and compatible so as to be located at a predetermined distance from each other, thereby creating a gap of a predetermined width between two juxtaposed edges of the panels. This panel assembly is designed to be compatible with a laser welding process.
Carbody of railcar
A carbody of a railcar includes: a roof bodyshell; a supporting body provided under the roof bodyshell, the supporting body being attached to the roof bodyshell in a state of being positioned in the vertical direction; a rotating body which is threadedly engaged with the supporting body and rotates relative to the supporting body about an axis extending in a vertical direction to be displaced relative to the supporting body in the vertical direction; and a support target member supported by the roof bodyshell through the supporting body and the rotating body, the support target member being attached to the rotating body in a state of being positioned in the vertical direction, a vertical distance between the roof bodyshell and the support target member being adjustable by displacement of the rotating body relative to the supporting body.

GRATING
A grating for a support structure includes a piece of metal including a perimeter edge and a surface bound by the perimeter edge. The piece of metal defines an array of uniform surface modifications on the surface of the piece of metal. The uniform surface modifications are arranged in a repeated pattern across the surface. The repeated pattern of uniform surface modifications is consistent across the surface but for at least a pair of spaced apart areas of inconsistency where the uniform surface modifications are not formed in the surface. Each area of inconsistency is surrounded on all sides by the array of uniform surface modifications. The pair of areas of inconsistency provides an indication of where to attach a structure to the grating.

Car air conditioning duct and railcar
A car air-conditioning duct guides air to a suction side of an air conditioner mounted on a car or guides the air flowing from a blow-off side of the air conditioner. The car air-conditioning duct includes a duct wall having a tubular shape and forming a duct outer surface and a duct inner surface. The duct wall is made of a composite foamed resin material containing polystyrene resin and polyolefin resin.

Double-deck rail vehicle and vehicle body thereof
A double-deck rail vehicle and a vehicle body thereof are provided. An underframe (11) of the vehicle body comprises a lower-layer underframe (111), end underframes (112, 115), sealing plates (114, 116), and side underframes (118, 119); wherein the lower-layer underframe is provided with an underframe middle beam (1111); the end underframe is fixedly connected to the underframe middle beam by means of reinforcement middle beams (113, 117); the sealing plate is fixedly connected between the end underframe and the lower-layer underframe; and the side underframe comprises side beams (1181, 1191) of the side underframe that are integrated, and the side underframe is fixedly connected to the end underframe by means of the side beams of the side underframe. The vehicle body supplements the reinforcement middle beams capable of increasing the connection strength between the end underframe and the lower-layer underframe, and uses the integrated side beams of the side underframe. Therefore, the structure strength, rigidity and compression-resistant performance of the vehicle body can be enhanced, so that the safety of the double-deck rail vehicle can be improved, and a problem that a related double-deck vehicle body does not satisfy the requirements of America strength standard can be solved.
Advanced hybrid tank, Advanced PV cooling panel, Advanced thermal focusing panel
The advanced hybrid tank is a multifunctional tank with a shape that makes for easy construction and assembly while maximizing the ability of thermal syphoning. This invention can store an inlet liquid and thermal energy from a thermal collector, for outlet usage in multiple applications. The tank typically has a coupling side and a thermal syphoning side which together allows for coupling with an advanced PV cooling panel, an advanced thermal focusing panel, or a roof structure.
CONDITIONED AIR DISTRIBUTION CEILING PLENUM
Embodiments of the disclosure can relate to a ceiling mounted air distribution system for a railcar. According to one embodiment of the disclosure, a ceiling-mounted air distribution plenum may include: a diffuser configured to transmit air to at least one first air channel, the at least one first air channel having a first end configured to couple to the diffuser, a second end distal from the first end; at least one second air channel disposed proximate to and longitudinally with the at least one first air channel, the at least one second air channel having a first end configured to couple to the diffuser, a second end distal from the first end, and at least one air distribution hole, and at least one channel divider disposed to separate the at least one first air channel and the at least one second air channel.
