Fuel cell stack manifold with ejector function
A fuel cell stack manifold having an ejector function of which the manufacturing cost and the weight can be reduced by optimizing hydrogen supply and recirculation channels and removing other members. hardware without a separate ejector structure for additionally attaching an ejector, of which the productivity can be improved by removing from an ejector assembly process. The fuel cell system minimizes joints through which hydrogen may leak, by implementing a new structure of a manifold added with an ejector function by integrally forming/manufacturing a stack manifold having a venturi and diffuser structure and adding a nozzle thereto.
Lithium ion battery module
A lithium-ion battery module includes a housing having a plurality of partitions configured to define a plurality of compartments within a housing. The battery module also includes a lithium-ion cell element provided in each of the compartments of the housing. The battery module further includes a cover coupled to the housing and configured to route electrolyte into each of the compartments. The cover is also configured to seal the compartments of the housing.
Internal header flow divider for uniform electrolyte distribution
The present disclosure details header flow divider designs and methods of electrolyte distribution. Internal header flow dividers may include multiple flow channels and may be built into flow frames. Flow channels within internal header flow dividers may divide evenly multiple times in order to form multiple flow channel paths and provide a uniform distribution of electrolytes throughout electrode sheets within electrochemical cells. Furthermore, uniform electrolyte distribution across electrode sheets may not only enhance battery performance, but also prevent zinc dendrites that may be formed in electrode sheets. The prevention of zinc dendrite growth in electrode sheets may increase operating lifetime of flow batteries. The disclosed internal header flow dividers may also be included within end caps of electrochemical cells.
Methods for continuous direct carbon fuel cell operation with a circulating electrolyte slurry
The present invention relates to methods and systems related to fuel cells, and in particular, to direct carbon fuel cells. The methods and systems relate to cleaning and removal of components utilized and produced during operation of the fuel cell, regeneration of components utilized during operation of the fuel cell, and generating power using the fuel cell.
Fuel cell and proces for manufacturing a fuel cell
The present invention pertains to a fuel cell with a storage unit (4) for storing hydrogen (H.sub.x), with a proton conductive layer, which covers a surface of the storage unit (4), and with a cathode (7) on a side of the proton conductive layer, which side is located opposite, wherein the storage unit (4) is directly coupled with an anode and/or the storage unit (4) is incorporated in a substrate (1) of a semiconductor. The storage unit (4) is preferably connected to the substrate (1) at least via a stress compensation layer (3).
