A door device with a locking mechanism includes an operation member that is operated to unlock a door body. When a power supply for a railroad car is normal, it is determined whether the door body is allowed to be opened by operating the operation member. The door body is unlocked only when it is determined that opening of the door body is allowed. Whereas when the power supply for the railroad car is in an abnormal state, the door body is unlocked by the locking mechanism by operating the operation member.

The present disclosure relates to a front door to be provided on an end panel of an end portion of a railcar. The front door includes a hinge provided at a first vertical side portion on the front door, the hinge supporting the front door rotatably toward the car interior side, a lock mechanism provided at a second vertical side portion on the front door, the lock mechanism locking the front door, and an emergency support mechanism that holds the front door on the end panel upon collision of an object with the front door in a locked state.

Emergency front door for pneumatically-propelled vehicles on an elevated track

The front door (1) articulates by means of upper hinges (2), assisted by dampers (3) connected to the internal structure (4) of the front door (1). It includes a lower portion (5) articulated by the lower hinge (6) to the structure of the vehicle (VP). The lower portion of the door (5) projects outwards when the front door (1) is opened through the action of cables (15) and pulleys (16). A retractable staircase (7) extends; when retracted, it folds under the floor of the vehicle (8). The front door (1) is activated internally by the passengers using a lever (9) that turns a rod (10), moving shafts (11) that release the locking mechanism. An electromagnetic safety key, making it possible to open the front door (1) if the vehicle breaks down.
