DEVICE AND METHOD FOR RECOGNIZING A MOVEMENT OF AN OBJECT CAUGHT IN A DOOR OF A VEHICLE, AND DETECTION SYSTEM

A device for recognizing a movement of an object caught in a door of a vehicle includes a carrier element, to which a first electrical conductor is fastened. Furthermore, the device includes an elastic object-contact element, to which a second electrical conductor is fastened. The elastic object-contact element is connected to the carrier element such that, when the caught object is pulled in a selected sensing direction, the first electrical conductor and the second electrical conductor are brought into contact with each other.

Vehicle door locking device

A vehicle door locking device includes a switching portion capable of switching between a first state in which the switching portion makes contact with a door to inhibit the door from moving in an opening direction no less than a distance required for removing an object caught in the door, and a second state in which the movement of the door of no less than the distance is not inhibited. The switching portion has a cam that rotates according to an opening/closing operation of the door. The rotation of the cam by a predetermined angle or more is inhibited in the first state, and the rotation of the cam is allowed in the second state.

Monitoring system and camera

A monitoring system is provided and includes a camera attached to a train car that takes an image of the vicinity of a door of the car, where a monitor displays a camera image taken by the camera and a dirt detection unit executes a dirt detection process for detecting dirt on the front glass of the camera. This configuration thereby allows the dirt detection unit to determine the execution timing for a dirt detection process on the basis of the train information that indicates the operational state of the train to execute the dirt detection process by using the camera image that has been obtained according to the execution timing.

FOREIGN OBJECT DETECTION SYSTEMS AND CONTROL LOGIC FOR VEHICLE COMPARTMENT CLOSURE ASSEMBLIES

Disclosed are object detection systems for automated compartment closure assemblies, methods for operating such systems, and motor vehicles with a power liftgate assembly and foreign object detection capabilities. A method is disclosed for detecting objects obstructing the path of an automated closure assembly. The method includes receiving a command signal to move the closure assembly to an open or closed position, and receiving gesture-sensitive sensor signals with a location and velocity of an object within a supervision field. Responsive to the object being inside a protected zone within the supervision field or the object's velocity being towards the protected zone, commanding an automated driving mechanism to: slow the closure assembly's speed; if the object is still located inside the protected zone after a calibrated period of time, stop the closure assembly; and if the object moves outside the protected zone, increase the closure assembly speed to a default speed.

Pre-Biased Delayed Emergency Release

The manual release mechanism described herein enables a passenger to attempt to manually open the transit door but delays opening until the vehicle is no longer moving. A motion transfer device (14) moves to an unlocking position of the door lock (10) only when the manual release mechanism is activated to release store energy in a mechanical energy storage device (40) and an electromechanical device (26) is de-energized to release the motion transfer device (14).

Streetcar door system

A new door system and related technology for a passenger carrying rail vehicle, such as a President's Conference Committee (PCC) streetcar rail vehicle, and a method for retrofitting a rail vehicle door system with the new door system. In some embodiments, the new door system includes an electro-mechanical angle drive motor, a solid door control pivot rod, a door leaf panel clamp that is permanently connected to the solid door control pivot rod, a lever arm that includes a positive locking device and that is coupled to the solid door control pivot rod, and a connecting rod that is attached to the electro-mechanical angle drive motor and to the lever arm to enable the connecting rod to impart motion generated by the electro-mechanical angle drive motor to the lever arm.

EXPERIMENTAL SIMULATION PROCESS, FOR OBTAINING INFORMATION RELATIVE TO THE RELIABILITY OF AN AUTOMATIC PASSENGER ACCESS DOOR
20180283991 · 2018-10-04 ·

Disclosed is an experimental simulation method for obtaining information relative to the reliability of an automatic passenger access door for a railway vehicle, including: a) fixing a non-downgraded and nominally adjusted door prototype, including a frame, a casement and an actuator driving the casement, on a test bench; b) subjecting the prototype to a series of tests; c) measuring, throughout the tests, signals characteristic of the performance of the door; and d) reiterating a) to c) with a downgraded door prototype at several downgrade levels. Step b) includes altering at least one of the context elements from among the orientation of the prototype around a first axis corresponding to the gradient, the orientation of the prototype around a second axis corresponding to the incline, the deformation of the frame and/or the casement, the line voltage of the door system, the weather conditions, or the presence of a door closure obstacle.

Railway vehicle compartment, associated assembly, railway vehicle and method
