Foldable and/or Collapsible Plastic/Composite Utility Enclosure
A foldable extension enclosure for a utility enclosure, each having first, second, third, and fourth sides connected by hinges and each folding only in one direction by means of detents on the sides. A first end of the first side slidably overlaps a second opposite end of the third side and a first end of the second side slidably overlaps a second opposite end of the fourth side. There is an internal top ledge on each side in an interior near a top end of the extension enclosure and the utility enclosure and an external bottom ledge on each side on an exterior near a bottom end of the extension enclosure, to mount the extension enclosure to the utility enclosure with concave and convex detents. Convex detents are at the top end of the utility and extension enclosures and concave detents are at the bottom end of the extension enclosure. The convex detents also reversibly lock a lid to the tops of the utility and extension enclosures.
Hinged closure for a container
A hinged closure is disclosed for a container. The hinged closure comprises a first closure and a second closure. An internal closure hinge pivotably couples the first closure with the second closure. An exterior closure hinge pivotably couples the second closure with the container. A first locking member is couple to the interior edge of the first closure. A second locking member is coupled to the second closure. The first locking member engages with the second locking member for preventing pivoting of the first closure relative to the second closure and covering the container chamber and prevents access into the container chamber of the container. The first locking member disengaging with the second locking member for permitting pivoting of the first closure relative to the second closure and permitting access into the container chamber of the container and defines a reduced closure height relative to the container.
Container system
Engineered handheld bin system constructed of modular components creating custom heights and increased interior volume greater than known handheld plastic containers. The bin includes a base, a frame, four corner members and a wall member having a plurality of side panels. In one embodiment, the four corner members interlockably couple the frame and the base. In one embodiment, the base includes a base frame defining a channel to selectively couple to the bottom edge of the wall member and the frame defines a wall member accepting slot to engage and compress a portion of the top edge of the wall member.
Crate with retractable wall
A crate includes a base and a plurality of walls including a front wall. The front wall is movable between a retracted, open position and a closed position. In some embodiments, the front wall includes a frame, a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is hingeably connected to the frame and the second portion is hingeably connected to the first portion.
Collapsible crate with stowable hinged lid
A collapsible crate or container movable between an erect configuration and a collapsed configuration, has a crate member having an upper peripheral rim, a bottom member, two hinged and collapsible opposing side walls and two hinged end walls that collectively define an interior volume when the crate member is in the erect configuration, and a lid member with first and second lid portions and a hinge that releasably couples the first and second lid portions. The crate member and the lid member also includes latch member to releasably latch the lid member to the crate member in a use/deployed position and a stowed position.
Foldable and/or Collapsible Plastic/Composite Utility Enclosure
A lid for a utility enclosure having a front end, a rear end, a right side, a left side, a top lid portion, and a bottom, defining an interior. Large reinforcement ribs are on an interior surface of the top lid portion and form a lattice-type structure. Small reinforcement ribs are mounted in spaces formed by the lattice type structure. The lid is made of glass fiber-reinforced polypropylene and metal bars or rebar are embedded in the large reinforcement ribs. The metal bars are positioned near a bottom of the large reinforcement ribs and spaced above the bottom. The physical structure of the lid and the lid's composition, consisting essentially of glass fiber-reinforced polypropylene, are constructed so that the lid withstands up to 33,750 pounds of force without breaking or being deformed.
Straight consistent body scores on plastic corrugated boxes and a process for making same
The invention is directed to straight, consistent body scores on plastic corrugated boxes and a process for making the body scores.
TRANSPORT DEVICE
The invention relates to a transport device (10) for piece goods, comprising a base part (14) which has a base plate (16) and side walls (18) which are elevated from the base plate (16) and are circumferential, the side walls (18) delimiting a placement surface of the base plate (16), a number of first compartments (22), wherein each of the first compartments (22) has circumferential walls (24) which each have a lower edge on the placement surface, an intermediate base (26) which bears on the first compartments (22) and has a downwardly projecting edge (28), which surrounds the first compartments (22) at upper edges (24b) of their circumferential walls (24), and an upwardly pointing further placement surface (30), a number of second compartments (32), wherein each of the second compartments (32) has circumferential walls (34) which each have a lower edge (34a) on the further placement surface (30), and wherein the first and second compartments (22, 32) are foldable for the purpose of volume reduction. The intermediate base (26) has two base parts (44, 46) which are connected to one another in an articulated manner, have each a part (50, 52) of the further placement surface (30) and are pivotable relative to one another about a pivot axis (48) up to a contact of the parts (50, 52) of the further placement surface (30), wherein each of the base parts (44, 46) has a rectangular or square contour, one side (56, 58) of which is shorter than both sides of the placement surface and the other side (60, 62) of which is shorter than at least one of the sides of the placement surface.
Hybrid collapsible container
A collapsible container includes a frame including a base and a plurality of walls hingeably connected to edges of the base. At least one wall of the plurality of walls has a large opening therethrough. The large opening occupies a majority of the area of the at least one wall. An insert is received in the frame. The insert at least substantially covers the large opening in the at least one wall.
