Configurable system for resolving requests received from multiple client devices in a network system
A system, a method, and a computer program for generating a dynamically configurable resolution route for transmitting a request object to one or more nodes in a network, comprising receiving a trigger signal from a first node, determining one or more destination nodes based on a resolution process, schema or scenario, determining a pathway to the one or more destination nodes, generating a resolution route for transmitting the request object in the network, iteratively transmitting the request object to the one or more destination nodes based on the resolution route, receiving a request object resolution signal from a final destination node, and transmitting the request object resolution signal to the first node based on the request object resolution signal.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND COMPUTER PROGRAMS FOR INTELLIGENT CONTENT DELIVERY USING A SOFTWARE DEFINED NETWORK AND EDGE COMPUTING
In a network, intelligent content delivery is accomplished by receiving, at an edge server, performance measures from a plurality of local edge servers. Routing policies from an analytics application in a software defined network are received in the edge server that stores address and routing information and the routing policies. The routing policies are distributed to the local edge servers. The local edge servers periodically query the edge server for any changes to the routing policies and when there is a change distributing the change to the routing policies to the local edge servers. When an anomaly is detected at the local edge server, a notification is sent to the edge server that then instructs an orchestrator server to implement the routing policies responsive to the anomaly notification.
Using PCE as SDN controller
Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for transitioning a system from a tradition network to a Software Defined Network (SDN) enabled network. In some embodiments, the systems and methods may comprise the use of a Path Computation Element (PCE) as a central controller. Smooth transition between traditional network and the new SDN enabled network, especially from a cost impact assessment perspective, may be accomplished using the existing PCE components from the current network to function as the central controller of the SDN network is one choice, which not only achieves the goal of having a centralized controller to provide the functionalities needed for the central controller, but also leverages the existing PCE network components.
Congestion Notification Method, Related Device, and System
A congestion notification method, a related device, and a system, where the method includes receiving, by a network side device, a congestion status of a target network area sent by a radio access network (RAN) congestion awareness function (RCAF) entity, where the target network area is a network area involved in an application service provided by a target application server; and sending, by the network side device, the congestion status of the target network area to the target application server. Hence, an application server may able to learn in time when congestion occurs, and adjust, according to the congestion situation, a related service in an area corresponding to the congestion situation.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OPERATING A NETWORK COMPONENT AND A CONTROL INSTANCE IN A SOFTWARE-DEFINED NETWORKING COMMUNICATION INFRASTRUCTURE
A method and device for operating a network component and a control instance in a software-defined networking communication infrastructure. The software-defined networking communication infrastructure is switched from an operation according to a first strategy for forwarding time-critical data streams in network components of the communication infrastructure to an operation according to a second strategy for forwarding time-critical data streams in network components as a function of at least one trigger signal, the at least one trigger signal being received in an operation according to the first strategy from a control instance in a unicast message or in a broadcast message.
Network entity of a communication network
Embodiments relate to a concept for a communication network, the communication network comprising a plurality of network entities. It is provided, from an event subscribing network entity (100) to an event publishing network entity (150) of the communication network, an event subscription message (110) comprising information identifying the event subscribing network entity (100) and comprising configuration rules for configuring a configurable event of interest at the event publishing network entity (150), wherein the configurable event of interest (160) shall be reported from the event publishing network entity (150) to the event subscribing network entity (100). Further it is provided the configurable event of interest (160) from the event publishing network entity (150) to the event subscribing network entity (100).
Predictive Anycast Traffic Shaping
Gateway devices at different sites of a primary Anycast network provide access to the sites by advertising a first set of Anycast addresses. A secondary shadow Anycast network advertises different second sets of Anycast addresses from the different sites in order to predetermine traffic shifts that occur as a result of changing one or more of the second set of Anycast addresses that are advertised from one or more of the sites. A traffic shifting device may implement a predetermined traffic shift in the primary Anycast network by selecting a particular second set of network addresses that produces a traffic shift at least equal to the predetermined traffic shift, mapping the particular second set of network addresses to a modified first set of addresses, and modifying routing in the primary Anycast network by advertising the modified first set of addresses instead of the first set of addresses.
Systems and methods for automatically configuring virtual networks
Described herein are methods and systems for automatically configuring virtual networks hosted by a cloud platform. This involves accessing configuration information defining a desired configuration and processing the configuration information to determine one or more required virtual network connections that, according to the configuration information, need to be created, each required virtual network connection defining a source virtual network and a destination virtual network that are to be connected. A connection is then automatically made to the cloud platform in order to create each required virtual network.
Blockchain Routing Protocols
A method for network communication, the method including distributing a distributed ledger across a network having a plurality of nodes and maintaining the distributed ledger on each of the plurality of nodes of the network. The method further including initiating a modification to the network, verifying the modification to the network by checking the distributed ledger maintained by each of the plurality of nodes of the network, and permitting the modification to the network when the modification to the network is authorized by the distributed ledger maintained on each of the plurality of nodes in the network.
