A process for producing an aqueous polymer solution, including: (a) providing a hydrated polymer that has been prepared by aqueous solution polymerisation of ethylenically unsaturated monomers, which hydrated polymer contains at least 10% by weight active polymer; (b) cutting the hydrated polymer by subjecting the hydrated polymer to at least one cutting stage containing at least one stream of aqueous liquid at a pressure of at least 150 bar to reduce the size of the hydrated polymer; and (c) dissolving the hydrated polymer in an aqueous liquid so as to obtain an aqueous polymer solution. A mixing system and method. The mixing system includes a mixer configured to mix a dry component into a fluid to generate a slurry, one or more pumps coupled with the mixer and configured to deliver the fluid thereto, and a manifold system coupled to the mixer and the one or more pumps. The manifold system includes one or more valves configured to direct the slurry from the mixer. The mixing system is operable in a first mixing mode to mix a first type of the slurry, and the mixing system is operable in a second mixing mode to mix a second type of the slurry. The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for production of additives enhancing water tightness of structural and binding building materials. The method comprises the steps of: preparing a hydrophobing agent by esterifying 60-80 m % of vegetable oil by a mixture consisting of 20-40 m % ethyl alcohol and 0.1-5 m % of methyl alcohol of the whole mass of the agent, then adding 5-30 m % agent by spraying through nozzles and water to a body of burnt lime in a reactor, and prior to adding the agent and water a mixture of 2-8 m % ethyl alcohol and 0.1-1 m % of methyl alcohol of the whole mass of the body of burnt lime is added by spraying through nozzles, while the mixture is agitating mechanically till a homogeneous mixture is prepared, then adding 40-65 m % water to the mixture, and ceasing mechanical agitating after commencement of the fierce chemical reaction.

An installation and method for producing and/or processing confectionery masses which are made from at least one liquid raw material and granular and/or powdery raw materials. The installation includes at least a first mixing container and at least one further product-processing device.
