20180264989 · 2018-09-20 ·

The present disclosure provides a load-securement apparatus and a method of installing the load-securement apparatus to secure a load in a shipping container. In one embodiment, the load-securement apparatus includes a first non-rigid anchor member, a second non-rigid anchor member, a first non-rigid load restrainer, and a second non-rigid load restrainer. In one embodiment, the method of installing the load-securement apparatus comprises attaching the first load restrainer to the first anchor member, attaching the first anchor member to the shipping container adjacent a side wall, attaching the second load restrainer to the second anchor member, attaching the second anchor member to the shipping container adjacent another side wall, attaching the first load restrainer to the second load restrainer such that part of the first load restrainer and part of the second load restrainer both contact the load, and tensioning the attached first and second load restrainers to a designated tension.

CONTAINER LASHING PROCESS AND SYSTEM

A process for lashing containers with a power tool, a lashing rod (2) connectable to a container and a turnbuckle (1) connectable to a container transport vehicle. The turnbuckle comprises a first connection part (14) connectable to the lashing rod and second connection part (15) connectable to the container transport vehicle, the turnbuckle being rotatable around it's longitudinal axis (L). At least one of the connection parts comprises a tensioning part (144) for tensioning the lashing rod by adapting the overall length of the turnbuckle and lashing rod. The tensioning part is driven by a drive part (145) which is operated by a power tool. For lashing a container the turnbuckle is connected to the container transport vehicle and the lashing rod, which is connected to the container. The turnbuckle is rotated until the drive part is accessible by the power tool. Then, the drive part is driven by the power tool.

CARGO RESTRAINT SYSTEM

An apparatus, a vehicle and a method for securing intermodal cargo containers is provided. Couplers include pins and bottom supports to engage apertures and bottom surfaces of corner fittings for intermodal cargo containers. The couplers may also include sidewall supports to engage forward facing side surfaces of the corner fittings. The pins, bottom supports, and sidewall supports hold an intermodal cargo container in place through a relatively large range of acceleration forces without damaging the corner fittings of the intermodal cargo containers. The couplers are selectively movable from a retracted position to an extended position to engage the corner fittings of the intermodal cargo containers.

LOGISTICS BRACKET FOR USE IN SECURING AND DECKING FREIGHT
20180022263 · 2018-01-25 ·

A bracket for releasably securing a logistics bar within a trailer or containment vessel to help prevent shifting of freight during transport. The bracket comprises an elongate body having two or more hangers. The hangers are releasably securable to walls of the trailer or containment vessel to hang the bracket from one of the walls. The body has one or more slots therein that releasably receive an end of a logistics bar to permit the logistics bar to be releasably secured to the bracket. The bracket is securable at different locations along the wall of the trailer or containment vessel thereby permitting the positioning of the logistics bar within the trailer or containment vessel at a desired location.
