FREIGHT CAR TRUCK BOLSTER
A novel freight car truck bolster comprising a top member with a center bowl and support shelves for side bearers, a bottom member with bearing surfaces for swing suspension springing elements, going into diagonal tension members, side walls joining the top and bottom members, vertical longitudinal ribs located between the top and bottom members with their thickness increased in the center bowl area, pockets to install friction wedges. The bottom member has increased thickness in the transition areas of the bearing surfaces into the diagonal tension members, and the vertical ribs have thickness increased at the top of the center bowl area, the rounded transitions of the sloping walls into the bottom member bearing surfaces have a radius exceeding the radius of the rounded transitions of the vertical walls into the said bearing surfaces.
Rail vehicle
The present invention provides a rail vehicle. The rail vehicle includes: an underframe assembly, a side wall assembly, a vehicle roof assembly, and a vehicle end assembly. The underframe assembly includes a primary energy absorption structure and an underframe edge beam which are connected. The primary energy absorption structure has at least two energy absorbing cavities that are set at interval. The lower end of the side wall assembly is connected with the underframe assembly. The upper end of the side wall assembly is connected with the vehicle roof assembly. The vehicle end assembly includes an end energy absorption structure whose lower end is connected with the primary energy absorption structure, and upper end is connected with the vehicle roof assembly. By using the technical solution of the present invention, that is, the primary energy absorption structure of the underframe assembly, the vehicle roof assembly, and the end energy absorption structure which is installed between the vehicle roof assembly and the primary energy absorption structure form the overall energy absorbing structure at the end of the vehicle body structure, there is no need to add an independent energy absorbing component. The present invention improves impact energy absorbing performance of the vehicle without increasing the overall dimension of the vehicle body structure.
RAILROAD GONDOLA CAR STRUCTURE
A gondola car has a body for lading carried on an underframe. The underframe includes a center sill and cross-bearers. The car has deep side beams having top chords, side sills, and side sheets. The lower portion of the car includes tubs that seat between the cross-bearers. The car may have an internal volume of more than 8000 cu. ft. The car may have rotary dump claw sockets. The car has opposed internal and external stiffeners aligned at the longitudinal stations of the cross-bearers. The internal stiffeners may be triangular cantilevers extending upwardly inside the side sheets. The side sheet lies intermediate the stiffeners and their flanges. The top chords may be wider in cross-section than the side sills. The side sills may define torque tubes that co-operate with the sidewall stiffeners and the top chords to resist lateral deflection. The car may include a false deck, or dog-house at one end to accommodate the brake reservoir and brake valve, such that the car is longitudinally asymmetric.

TRACK MAINTENANCE WAGON FOR PICKING UP AND/OR LAYING TRACK PANELS
A track maintenance wagon (1) for picking up and/or laying a track panel (10), comprising a wagon frame (2) supported on on-track undercarriages (4), wherein two longitudinal beams (7) of the wagon frame (2) delimit a free opening and are transversely displaceable relative to one another, so that the free opening is changeable as to its width and, in a working position, has greater opening dimensions as a horizontal projection of the track panel (19), and wherein crane rails (8) are arranged on the longitudinal beams (7) for a gantry crane (11) mobile in the longitudinal direction (3) of the wagon. In this, buffers (13) are arranged at two free ends (12) of the longitudinal beams (7).
