A food product is within an aqueous solution. The solution includes: at least one edible acid; and at least one osmotic agent, wherein after the solution reaches equilibrium with the food product, the pH of the solution is between about 1 and 5.

Pesticide residue removal device for refrigerator, and refrigerator

A pesticide residue removal device for a refrigerator, and a refrigerator are provided. The pesticide residue removal device includes: an ozone generator configured to generate ozone; an ozone water container configured to store water therein, where the ozone water container communicates with the ozone generator, so that ozone is dissolved into water of the ozone water container to obtain ozone water; and an atomizer communicating to the ozone water container, receiving and atomizing the ozone water, and supplying the ozone water to a storage space of the refrigerator. The generated ozone water is atomized to fully fill the entire storage compartment of the refrigerator to achieve effective pesticide residue removal and sterilization; ozone water can be prepared on demand to reduce waste; and people are well prevented from getting harmed at an excessive ozone concentration.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SPRAYING FOOD AND FOOD PROCESSING ARTICLES WITH ANTIMICROBIALS AND OTHER AGENTS
20170013849 · 2017-01-19 ·

Provided herein are methods, apparatuses, and systems for treating food articles, including meat, poultry, fish and other seafood, vegetables, fruits and other foods and food processing articles by spraying an antimicrobial or other agent onto the food or food processing articles. One embodiment of the invention may include a method for treating a food article comprising disposing a food article in a cavity within an enclosure having an outer shell and at least one inner plate disposed in the cavity, applying a first charge to a antimicrobial agent, applying a second charge to the at least one inner plate of the same polarity as the first charge, and spraying the antimicrobial agent into the cavity in a manner whereby at least a portion of the antimicrobial agent is caused to be repelled by the at least one inner plate and to at least partially coat the food article.

Potato chip crumb condiments

A shaker/dispenser dispenses crushed chip particles of discrete sizes for sprinkling directly on food as pourable condiments of discrete sized particles of the remnants of the crushed potato chips. Each potato chip of pre-determined thickness is crushed and crumbed into fine, medium and coarse crumbs of varying particle sizes. The chip crumb particles have a variety of flavors, salt and vinegar, cheese and onion, sour cream and chives, eggs and bacon, etc. The system provides selected potato chip condiments in sliced components for crushing and forming the particles of the desired sizes. In an alternate embodiment, the condiments are packaged in either a self-opening single use pouch or in a shaker/dispenser with a mill lid.

Bactericidal water generating system and method of bactericidal washing
09540742 · 2017-01-10 ·

A bactericidal water generating system and a method of bactericidal washing which can enhance the bactericidal capacity and washing effect of acidic electrolyzed water. An electrolyzer electrolyzes a chloride-containing aqueous electrolyte solution to generate acidic electrolyzed water, the aqueous electrolyte being pre-adjusted to pH 3 to 5 with a pH adjuster. An acidic water container is connected to the electrolyzer, and stores the acidic electrolyzed water generated by the electrolyzer. A gaseous chlorine circulator collects gaseous chlorine generated from the acidic electrolyzed water in the acidic water container, and the gaseous chlorine collected is supplied to the acidic electrolyzed water in the acidic water container by bubbling. A transition metal supply unit is provided so that a transition metal-containing solution can be supplied to the inside of the acidic water container.

Produce processing dosing system

A system (10) for treating produce includes an application system (12) for applying a treatment liquid to the produce. A piston pump (20) is connected in liquid flow receiving communication with a source of treatment liquid (16), and also is connected in liquid flow expelling communication with an application line (18) leading to the application system. A control system (22) controls the operation of the piston pump to pump a selected dosage of the treatment liquid from the source of treatment liquid (16) to the application system (12).

Systems and methods for providing food intervention and tenderization

Systems and methods for providing food intervention, pumping up, and tenderization are discussed. While such systems can include any suitable component, in some cases, they include a needleless spray nozzle head that injects injectate into food without requiring the head to contact the food. In some cases, the head comprises an elongated needleless spray bar that defines multiple internal fluid channels that extend from a first end to a second end of the spray bar. In some cases, the head comprises a manifold system with a first manifold portion at the first end and a second manifold portion at the second end of the spray bar. In some cases, the first manifold portion directs the injectate towards the second end, and the second manifold portion directs the injectate towards the first end of the elongated needleless spray bar. Other implementations are described.
