HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE SECONDARY SUSPENSION FOR A RAIL VEHICLE
20180257678 · 2018-09-13 ·

A secondary suspension system for a railcar comprises a chassis, a primary spring, a levelling actuator, a first hydraulic circuit and a secondary spring. The levelling actuator is adapted to be connected to the carbody. A piston shoulder, located at the lower portion of the piston and below an opening in the chassis, reaches farther than the opening so as to be capable of catching the chassis. The secondary spring is at least partially positioned underneath the piston shoulder. The piston is operative to adopt a high position inside the body under a pressure of a hydraulic fluid injected in a lower chamber below a piston head. This makes the piston shoulder abut against the chassis, thereby compressing the primary spring between the body and the chassis without compressing the secondary suspension.

A bogie for a train vehicle includes two side frames, each side frame including two axle openings, each axle opening disposed on a corresponding end of the respective side frame, each side frame further forming a central slot disposed between the two axle openings; two wheelsets, each wheelset including an axle passing through two opposing axle openings between the two side frames; and a central beam having two ends, each end being slidably disposed within a corresponding central slot such that the central beam is disposed generally parallel to the axles of the two wheelsets and is slidable towards or away either of the two wheelsets.

RAILCAR TRUCK ROLLER BEARING ADAPTER-PAD SYSTEMS

A railcar truck and adapter pad system for placement between a roller bearing and side frame pedestal roof of a three-piece railcar truck. Many different features of the pad and/or the adapter-pad interface are configured to improve stiffness characteristics to satisfy both curving and high speed performance of the railcar truck.

Bogie and track-type vehicle

This traveling bogie is provided with: steered wheels; a main body for supporting the steered wheels; a guide device turning when subjected to a reaction force from a guide rail; a steering mechanism for applying a steering force to the steered wheels utilizing the reaction force applied to the guide device; and an assist mechanism for applying an assist steering force to the steered wheels, the assist steering force assisting the steering force applied by the steering mechanism. The assist mechanism is provided with: a first operation arm pivoting together with the steered wheels in the direction in which the steered wheels are steered; a second operation arm rotating about a rotation axis relative to the main body in response to the turning of the guide device; and an elastically deformable section connected to the first operation arm and the second operation arm and elastically deformable.

POWER GENERATOR ASSEMBLY FOR ROTATING APPLICATIONS

A power generator assembly including a rotating part and a non-rotating part is provided. It is proposed that the rotating part includes first and second, circumferentially adjacent generator units. Each generator unit includes at least one coil, at least one permanent magnet and two pole shoes having pole surfaces facing radially outward. The non-rotating part includes an arc-shaped saddle adaptor of ferromagnetic material arranged with a radial distance to the pole surfaces. The saddle adaptor is configured to close a magnetic circuit passing via the pole shoes through the coil in a rotational position where the saddle adaptor overlaps with the pole shoes of a generator unit. According to the invention, a pole shoe of the first generator unit and an adjacent pole shoe of the second generator unit have the same magnetic polarity.
