Vibration damper

The invention relates to a vibration damper (35) for archery bows. The vibration damper comprises a housing (36) extending along an axis (X) and forming at least one chamber (37, 38, 39, 40), wherein the at least one chamber is partially filled with granular solid material (9). The housing is formed by a stack of two or more bowl-shaped parts (1, 2, 4) arranged along the axis, wherein the at least one chamber is closed by the subsequent part in the stack. The stack of parts is held together by a central attachment device (41) extending along the axis, to close the at least one chamber, such that the at least one chamber forms an open space circumventing the central attachment device.

The stabilizer includes one or more weights removably attached to the stabilizer which provides dampening to the archery bow when the stabilizer is attached to the bow. The stabilizer can be locked at a position offset to the longitudinal length of the bow. The stabilizer includes a handle that enables the bow to be held or transported.

A titanium stabilizer rod for an archery bow preferably includes a base portion, a middle portion and a weight retention portion. The base portion extends from one end of the middle portion and the weight retention portion extends from an opposing end of the middle portion. A threaded stud extends from the base portion. A threaded tap is formed in the weight retention portion or a weight threaded stud extends from an opposing end of the weight retention portion. A stabilizer weight includes a threaded stud, which is threaded into the threaded tap of the weight retention portion. The stabilizer weight may also include a weight hole. The threaded stud is inserted through the weight hole and retained on the titanium stabilizer rod with a threaded nut. A lengthwise opening is preferably formed through an entire length of the titanium stabilizer rod.

A vibration absorber with an elongated body about a longitudinal axis thereof is presented, the elongated body including two longitudinal ends thereof, an elongated opening in the elongated body and a pair of protruding portions axially extending in cantilever from respective ends of the elongated body, the pair of protruding portions absorbing vibrations when the vibration absorber is secured to a vibrating object. A string-equipped apparatus for propelling a projectile with a vibration absorber and a method of installation thereof is equally presented.

Archery bow

In some embodiments, an archery bow comprises a riser, a first limb and a second limb. A drawstring extends between the first limb and the second limb, for example extending between rotatable members supported by the limbs. A first cable, such as a power cable, also extends between the first limb and the second limb. A cable guard is attached to the riser, which comprises a body portion and a cable engaging portion. The cable guard biases a portion of the first cable in a direction away from the riser.

Archery stabilizer mount and related method of use

An archery stabilizer mount is provided and can include a base that indexes an archery stabilizer in a fixed, angular orientation relative to the base, and a bracket, which attaches to an archery bow riser, where the base is selectively installable and removable from the bracket without altering the stabilizer orientation relative to the base and/or the archery bow. The base can be repeatedly removed from and installed relative to the bracket while maintaining a reference element of the archery stabilizer indexed in the fixed angular orientation relative to the base and to the bracket. The reference element can be a branding element, such as a logo, image, alphanumeric characters or other indicia.

A vibration damper is located in the cavity, the vibration damper comprising a resilient member and a weight. A first distance from the bowstring to the first limb fastener is less than a second distance from the bowstring to the vibration damper.
