10252282 · 2019-04-09 · ·

A mixer for drawing and mixing a solid product, such as a powder, with a liquid from a tank includes a drawing wand which has a drawing tip suitable for drawing the product and a mixing vat which has a rotation shape delimited by a side wall. The discharge tip of the drawing wand leads into the top of a vat and injects the product into the vat. In one form, the mixer includes a hydraulic circuit designed to circulate the liquid between the tank and the vat. The circuit includes at least one injection duct having at least one injection nozzle that leads into the top of the vat so that the liquid from the tank flows over the side wall of the vat.

POWDER MODULE

Powder module (1, 15, 24) for an apparatus for additively manufacturing of three-dimensional objects, comprising a powder chamber (2) defining a powder room (3), which is fillable with building material (4) in powder form and a cover (5) defining the powder room (3) at its top, whereby the powder module (1, 15, 24) comprises at least one equalization unit (7), configured for spreading the building material (4) inside the powder room (3).

Devices for and Methods of Forming Segregated Layers from Mixtures of Granular Materials

Layering of initially mixed granular dissimilar material components deposited by surface flow is realized by varying the relative angle of the flowing layer periodically with respect to the bulk of the pile formed. Layer thickness and extent can be controlled by varying the timing and extent of the surface variations. Variation in surface flow rates may be realized by varying the feed rate from an inlet to a collection base at a fixed feed location, varying the feed location relative to the collection base, tilting the collection base that is supporting the material, and reducing the pile repose angle using vibration or fluid flow through the base.

Mixing apparatus with stator and method

A mixer and method for mixing are provided. The mixer includes a housing having a fluid inlet, an additive inlet, and an outlet, with the housing defining a mixing chamber in fluid communication with the fluid inlet, the additive inlet, and the outlet. The mixer also includes an impeller disposed in the mixing chamber, wherein, when rotated, the impeller draws fluid through the fluid inlet. The mixer also includes a slinger disposed in the mixing chamber and configured to receive the fluid from the impeller and to receive an additive from the additive inlet. When rotated, the slinger slings the fluid and the additive radially outwards. The mixer further includes a stator disposed at least partially around the slinger, with the stator including vanes spaced circumferentially apart so as to define flowpaths therebetween.

Method for producing granular polysilicon
10118830 · 2018-11-06 · ·

Segregation of silicon granules in the fluidized bed production of polycrystalline silicon is achieved by successively transferring granular polycrystalline silicon through a plurality of vessels designed for funnel flow of granular material. The transfers may occur prior to introduction of feed particles into the reactor, or the enlarged granules from the reactor may be thus transferred to improve product size uniformity.

Mixing system for cementing applications
10100603 · 2018-10-16 · ·

A technique facilitates various types of cementing applications, such as a downhole cementing applications along a wellbore. The technique utilizes a mixer having a rigid body and a flexible skirt disposed along at least a portion of the interior of the rigid body. The mixer further comprises a cement blend inlet and a fluid inlet through which cement blend and fluid are introduced into the mixer to form a cement slurry. The flexible skirt is constructed to enable selective deformation, e.g. flexing, during formation of the cement slurry to reduce or prevent the formation of cement slurry caking within the mixer.

Method for finely feeding granular solids into liquid
10010836 · 2018-07-03 · ·

A method for finely feeding granular solids into a liquid, in which method granular solids and a liquid are fed into a mixing space and mixed together, and a mixture of small solid particles and liquid is discharged from the mixing space. The granular solid matter in the mixing space is subjected to a liquid flow in such a manner the granular solids are brought to roll controllably in a controlled rolling space locating in the mixing space, whereby the grains of the granular solids abrase one another while rolling and tiny particles detaching in abrasion are carried away from the mixing space along with the liquid and large grain particles continue rolling in the controlled rolling space.

Machine for dusting a profiled roof tile comprising raised patterns with particulate matter
09993780 · 2018-06-12 · ·

A machine for dusting a shape with particulate matter, the shape being a profiled roof tile including raised patterns extending in the lengthwise direction thereof, and including raised portions laterally separated from hollow portions by sloped portions, the tile having a predetermined width, and being preferably corrugated, the machine including a dusting element forming a homogeneous linear curtain of particulate matter falling across the width of the tile, the tile travelling longitudinally under the linear curtain. Deflectors of the curtain are arranged above the tile to intercept the particulate matter above the areas at the bottom of the sloped portions and redistribute the intercepted particulate matter towards an intermediate level of each corresponding sloped portion in order for the amount of particulate matter on the surface of the plate ultimately to be substantially homogeneous after a portion of intercepted particulate matter has slid towards the bottom of the sloped portion.

WATER SEPARATION IN FLOWLINES OR TRUNK LINES

A sink is configured to attach to a bottom surface of a flowline that is configured to flow a mixture of at least two immiscible fluids. One of the immiscible fluids is water. The water is more dense than the other of the at least two immiscible fluids. An outlet formed at a bottom portion of the sink. A valve system is connected to the opening. The valve system is configured to open the outlet in response to the water occupying at least a portion of the sink.
