Use of radiofrequency wave absorbing markets for the authentication of security documents
The present invention relates to the use of non-deactivatable security compositions comprising the combination of at least two types of particles of oxide materials, where said particles have a different size and/or morphology, and where the inorganic oxide materials have at least one transition metal or one lanthanide element, and radiofrequency wave absorption properties. The invention also relates to security articles, documents or elements incorporating these compositions, as well as to a method and to a system for detection thereof.
Electro-optical security element for securtiy and/or valuable document
A security element for a security and/or valuable document includes a matrix based on an organic polymeric material and at least one electrically conductive pigment dispersed in the matrix and at least one organic luminescent substance dispersed in the matrix. In the presence of the conductive pigment the luminescent substance is capable of non-contact excitation of light emission where the particle size is less than 200 nm. The luminescent substance is not encapsulated and is directly surrounded by the matrix and is embedded therein.
Document with hologram, and method of producing same
A description is given of a document with a hologram as a security feature, in particular an identity card (12), consisting of a polycarbonate card body (10), which has a volume hologram label (2, 9) embedded therein. A description is additionally given of a method for producing the document, in which volume hologram labels (2) arranged on a carrier sheet are brought into contact with adhesive regions (4) on a thermoplastic sheet (5.1), the adhesive surfaces are cured and the carrier sheet is then removed. A second plastics sheet (5.2) is then adhesively bonded onto the first plastics sheet (5.1), bearing the hologram labels, using a second adhesive (7) in the region of the hologram labels (2) to form a two-layered sheet composite (6) which, finally, is laminated, together with further thermoplastic sheets, in a card-lamination press, under the action of pressure and temperature, to give a card body (10), individual identity cards (12) being punched out.
Layered structure with conductive polymer for recognition of manipulation and process for the production thereof
The invention relates to a layered structure (10) comprising the following layers: a) a first substrate layer (2), wherein the first substrate layer (2) has a first surface (4) and a second surface (6) and is configured as a dielectric; b) a first electrically conductive layer (8) which overlaps at least in part the first substrate layer (2) at least on the first surface (4) of the first substrate layer (2), wherein the first electrically conductive layer (8) comprises an electrically conductive polymer, wherein the first electrically conductive layer (8) has at least one first part region (18) and at least one further part region (20), wherein the at least one first part region (18) has a higher bonding strength to the substrate layer (2) than to the at least one further part region (20).
Display and labeled article
A display includes a first optical effect layer including a first interface part, the first interface part being provided with recesses or protrusions arranged two-dimensionally at the minimum center-to-center distance in a range of 200 nm to 500 nm, each of the recesses or protrusions having a forward-tapered shape; a reflective material layer covering at least a part of the first interface part; and a second optical effect layer including, at a position of a first portion of the first interface part that is covered with the reflective material layer, a portion that faces the reflective material layer with the first optical effect layer interposed therebetween or faces the first optical effect layer with the reflective material layer interposed therebetween, the second optical effect layer containing at least one of a cholesteric liquid crystal, a pearl pigment and a multilayer interference film.
VOLUME HOLOGRAM SHEET TO BE EMBEDDED, FORGERY PREVENTION PAPER, AND CARD
An object of the present invention is to provide a thin volume hologram sheet to be embedded sufficiently resistant to a mechanical stress such as a stress including a tensile stress, a shear stress and a compression stress at the time of processing even under a heating condition, a forgery prevention paper and a card using the same. The object is achieved by providing a volume hologram sheet to be embedded comprising a volume hologram layer, and a substrate disposed only on one side surface of the volume hologram layer using an adhesion means, wherein a peeling strength of the volume hologram layer and the substrate is 25 gf/25 mm or more.

The invention also relates to security articles, documents or elements incorporating these compositions, as well as to a method and to a system for detection thereof.
ELECTRO-OPTICAL SECURITY ELEMENT FOR SECURTIY AND/OR VALUABLE DOCUMENT
The invention relates to a security element for a security and/or valuable document, comprising a matrix based on an organic polymeric material and at least one electrically conductive pigment dispersed in the matrix and at least one organic luminescent substance dispersed in the matrix. In the presence of the conductive pigment the luminescent substance is capable of non-contact excitation of light emission where the particle size is less than 200 nm. The luminescent substance is not encapsulated and is directly surrounded by the matrix and is embedded therein. The invention also relates to uses of the security and/or valuable document and to the security and/or valuable documents produced by such uses.
