COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR LIQUID MIXING ASSESSMENT
Compositions include an aqueous solution of an organic dye of molecular weight in the range of about 300 to about 1,000 and a density-enhancing material. An amount of the density-enhancing material in the aqueous solution is sufficient to achieve a density of about 1.0 to about 1.3 g/mL. The composition has a viscosity of about 3.5 to about 5.0 centipoise. The compositions are useful in assessing the adequacy of a liquid handling mixing device to mix a reaction mixture.
NOVEL EPOXY RESIN SYSTEM FOR MAKING CARBON FIBER COMPOSITES
A two-component curable epoxy resin system including a dye solution. The resin system includes an epoxy resin component containing at least 80% by weight of a polyglycidyl ether of a polyphenol. The system also includes a hardener mixture containing mainly polyethylene tetraamines. The system includes triethylene diamine in specific amounts as a catalyst. The system has beneficial curing characteristics with desired color that make it useful for producing fiber-reinforced composites in a resin transfer molding process.
STABLE LIQUID PHANTOM FOR NEAR-INFRARED FLUORESCENCE VERIFICATION
The present invention relates to the field of optical imaging. More particularly, it relates to the use of a formulation comprising an organic dye with near-infrared emission, dissolved in a Good's buffer, optionally with further additives as suitable phantom to assess, verify and calibrate near-infrared fluorescence imaging systems. The invention further relates to a validation kit comprising the above formulation and a method for calibrating a fluorescence imaging apparatus.
Dye printing treatment liquid composition, composition set, printing method, and ink jet printing method
A dye printing treatment liquid composition is used to be adhered to a cloth and includes a polyester resin and water, the polyester resin includes a structural unit derived from an aromatic compound and a structural unit derived from a non-aromatic compound, the aromatic compound includes a phthalic acid, the non-aromatic compound includes a (poly)alkylene glycol, a content of a structural unit derived from the phthalic acid with respect to 100 percent by mole of the polyester resin is 15 to 85 percent by mole, and a content of a structural unit derived from the (poly)alkylene glycol with respect to 100 percent by mole of the polyester resin is 15 to 85 percent by mole.
COLORED ORGANIC PEROXIDE COMPOSITIONS
Stable organic peroxide compositions include at least one organic peroxide (e.g., tert-butyl hydroperoxide), at least one dye (e.g., an FD&C dye), and at least one alcohol (e.g., propylene glycol, tert-butanol, and/or glycerin).
COLOR CONVERSION IN LCD DISPLAYS WITH SILICA NANOPARTICLES
Color conversion films for a LCD (liquid crystal display) having RGB (red, green, blue) color filters, as well as such displays, formulations, precursors and methods are provided, which improve display performances with respect to color gamut, energy efficiency, materials and costs. The color conversion films absorb backlight illumination and convert the energy to green and/or red emission at high efficiency, specified wavelength ranges and narrow emission peaks. For example, rhodamine-based fluorescent compounds are used in matrices produced by sol gel processes and/or UV (ultraviolet) curing processes which are configured to stabilize the compounds and extend their lifetimeto provide the required emission specifications of the color conversion films. Film integration and display configurations further enhance the display performance with color conversion films utilizing various color conversion elements.
Dye solution
The invention relates to a water-based biocompatible non-cytotoxic preparation for the selective staining of internal limiting membrane (ILM) and/or epiretinal membranes (ERM) in the human or animal eye, and to a kit containing said water-based preparation according to the invention.

Method and dye mixtures for marking shape memory polymers, and shape memory polymer articles with switchable readability
A method for marking an item including a shape memory polymer (SMP) having a visual readable and/or machine readable graphic element on the surface of the item. The method includes pretreating the surface of the item; coloring the surface of the item with a dye solution containing an organic dye and an organic solvent; cleaning and drying the surface of the item; and engraving by at least partially ablating the surface of the item. The dyeing process is suitable for coloring the surface of a shape memory polymer (SMP), wherein the information is engraved in a form of a code or other label on the colored surface. The coloring causes an increased contrast and thus facilitates machine readability of marking and coding without affecting the other properties of the SMP.
