A hockey stick apparatus may include a molded blade structure coupled to the proximal end of a hollow shaft structure. The molded blade structure can include: a top edge spaced apart from a bottom edge by a blade height, a heel spaced apart from a toe by a blade length, a front face spaced apart from a back face, and an optional slot defining an aperture extending through front face and the back face. A stiffness of the blade may vary along the blade height by changing the shape of the blade and changing a quadratic momentum of the cross-section along the blade height.

The system may include a sheet of tape comprised of one-piece with a second side including an adhesive surface; a backing surface removably adhered to the second side of the sheet of tape; a first edge of the sheet of tape being a straight edge; the second edge being a length from a heel area to a toe area of a blade of a hockey stick; the second edge including a concave portion shaped similar to a curve of a top of the blade; the third edge being a length from the heel area to the toe area of the blade; the third edge including a concave portion shaped similar to the curve of the top of the blade; and the fourth edge including two convex portions shaped similar to a toe of the blade.

Mouth guard having user-notification feature of impact force

A mouth guard senses impact forces and determines if the forces exceed an impact threshold. If so, the mouth guard notifies the user of the risk for injury by haptic feedback, vibratory feedback, and/or audible feedback. The mouth guard system may also remotely communicate the status of risk and the potential injury. The mouth guard uses a local memory device to store impact thresholds based on personal biometric information obtained from the user and compares the sensed forces relative to those threshold values. The mouth guard and its electrical components on the printed circuit board are custom manufactured for the user such that the mouth guard provides a comfortable and reliable fit, while ensuring exceptional performance.

Systems and methods for additive manufacturing of a golf club

An iron-type golf club includes an iron-type golf club head formed of metal by an additive manufacturing process. The iron-type golf club head includes a front side, a rear side, a bottom side, a top side, a toe side, and a heel side, and a body that defines a medial region between a toe region and a heel region. The iron-type golf club head also includes a first plane that extends orthogonal to a ground plane and separates the toe region from the medial region, and a second plane that extends orthogonal to the ground plane and separates the heel region from the medial region. A front face extends along the front side from the toe region, through the medial region, and into the heel region, and the front face and the body are formed of sintered metal by the additive manufacturing process.

Molded-in boat grip

In one example, a method includes positioning, within a mold, a device with a movable element that defines a portion of a volume, and the volume is contained within the mold, as part of a molding process, at least partly defining a molded watercraft by introducing plastic into the mold, disposing the plastic about the movable element, and with the movable element, excluding the plastic from the portion of the volume that is defined by the movable element so as to define a recess and an undercut that are integral with the watercraft and extend lengthwise with respect to a centerline of the watercraft, and the recess and undercut are integral, and communicate, with each other.

Systems and methods for additive manufacturing of a golf club

A process of manufacturing a golf club component includes spreading a thin layer of metal powder over a build plane defined over a build platform and bonding, using a laser, portions of the thin layer of metal powder. The spreading and bonding are repeated until the golf club component is formed. The golf club component comprises a lattice structure positioned within an internal cavity of the golf club component and the lattice structure is interrupted by a solid portion that extends along a bottom side of the golf club component from a toe region of the golf club component to a location between the toe region and a heel region of the golf club component.
