Composite ball bats with transverse interlaminar interfaces
A ball bat includes a continuous tape of fiber material wrapped around the longitudinal axis in a helix extending along the longitudinal axis. Interlaminar interfaces between adjacent turns of the tape are oriented obliquely relative to the longitudinal axis. In some embodiments, the ball bat includes a preform structure, the tape being wrapped around the preform structure. In some embodiments, the ball bat includes a flared element on the preform structure. An end of the continuous tape may be positioned on an angled surface of the flared element. An outer skin may be positioned over the tape. Methods of making ball bats may include attaching a first end of a fiber tape to a flared element on a preform structure or a mandrel and wrapping the fiber tape around the preform structure or mandrel in a helix extending along the longitudinal axis of the preform structure or mandrel.
Systems and methods for additive manufacturing of a golf club
A process of manufacturing a golf club head that includes the steps of generating, via an additive manufacturing process, a printed part that includes the steps of printing a material, layer by layer, along a build plane and creating at least one blow through aperture that allows fluid to flow through an internal cavity of the printed part. The build plane is offset from a ground plane by between about 5 degrees and about 160 degrees. The ground plane is defined as a horizontal plane parallel to the ground when the golf club head is at address. The process also includes the steps of excavating the printed part by forcing excess material out from within the internal cavity using the at least one blow through aperture and removing excess material formed at one or more material deposits disposed along the printed part golf club head.
THERAPEUTIC, FITNESS, AND SPORTS ENHANCEMENT DEVICE
A therapeutic, fitness and sports enhancement device which includes a cylindrically shaped body having a predetermined density and predetermined diameter, the body including a plurality of projections of a predetermined shape. One or more of the predetermined density and the predetermined diameter in combination with the predetermined shape of the projections optimize mobilization of soft tissue structures of the human body.
VIBRATION DAMPENING TAPE FOR ATTACHING A GRIPPING MEMBER AND METHOD OF USE
A vibration dampening tape for attaching a gripping member and method of use is provided. More particularly vibration dampening tape including a layered strip with a polymeric core.
Systems and methods for additive manufacturing of a golf club
A process of manufacturing a golf club head. The process comprises the step of spreading a thin layer of metal powder over a build plane defined over a build platform. The process also comprises the step of selectively depositing droplets of a binding agent over the thin layer of metal powder in order to bond the metal powder. The process further comprises the step of sintering a green part body to form the golf club head. The golf club head comprises a lattice structure positioned within an internal cavity of the golf club head. The build plane is offset from a ground plane by between about 5 degrees and about 160 degrees. The ground plane defined as a horizontal plane parallel to the ground when the golf club head is at address. The build plane is not a face angle of the golf club head.
Inflatable trampoline and manufacturing method
The present invention provides an inflatable trampoline. The inflatable trampoline includes an inflatable frame, a connecting sheet and an elastic assembly. The inflatable frame includes a plurality of first sheets and a plurality of second sheets; a fabric layer is arranged within the first sheet, two second sheets are respectively welded to two edges of the first sheet, and two adjacent second sheets are welded to each other; the first sheet and the second sheet form the inflatable frame, and an inflatable cavity is provided within the inflatable frame. An edge of the connecting sheet is welded to an upper surface of the inflatable frame, and an opening is provided in a middle of the connecting sheet. The elastic assembly is located in the opening, and the elastic assembly is connected to the connecting sheet through a plurality of first connecting members.
Polymeric golf club head with metallic face
A golf club head includes a club face and a body. The club face is formed from a metallic material and includes a first, hitting surface, a second, rear surface that is opposite the first surface, and a flange that is separated from the second surface by a transverse distance. The body is formed from a polymeric material and includes a crown, a sole, a hosel, and a face support. The club face and the body cooperate to define a closed volume, and the face support extends to opposing sides of the flange and is operative to couple the club face to the body.
Method of inserting a reinforcing rod into a sports paddle
A manufacturing method for a sports paddle, wherein a reinforcing rod is inserted into the sports paddle, so that the reinforcing rod is located across the handle, throat, and head portions of the sports paddle. In some embodiments, a priming rod is used to create a cavity in the core of the sports paddle so that the reinforcing rod can be placed in the cavity. The manufacturing process results in a reinforced sports paddle that can withstand greater mechanical stress throughout the paddle.
Golf club head manufacturing system and associated method
Disclosed herein is a head fixture for adhesively bonding a part of a golf club head to a body of the golf club head. The head fixture includes a bottom portion, including a body retainer, and a top portion, selectively attachable to the bottom portion and including pressure applicators spaced apart about the top portion. Each one of the pressure applicators comprises a ratcheting mechanism and a ribbed shaft engaged with the ratcheting mechanism such that, when the top portion is selectively attached to the bottom portion, the ribbed shaft is movable away from the body retainer into a position, associated with a pressure applied to the part of the golf club head by the ribbed shaft, and the ribbed shaft is non-movably fixable, relative to the body retainer, in the position.
