Information processing system, information processing apparatus, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium
An information processing system searching for a solution to a problem represented by an energy function including a plurality of state variables, the information processing system includes a first node and second node. The first node searches for a first partial solution represented by a first state variable group, among the plurality of state variables, corresponding to a first subproblem assigned to the first node, the first subproblem being generated by dividing the problem. The first node holds a plurality of first solutions including a first solution corresponding to the problem, the first solution reflecting the first partial solution, and transmits one or more first solution among the plurality of first solutions. The second node updates, based on one or more first solution received from the first node, at least part of a plurality of second solution held in the second node.
Decoupling capacitor parameter determination for a power distribution network
A circuit analysis system performs a method for analyzing a power distribution network by determining a first S-parameter model for a first circuit element of the power distribution network. The first circuit element includes first ports that are coupled to first decoupling capacitors. Each of the first decoupling capacitors is associated with a respective first decoupling capacitor S-parameter model. The first S-parameter model is combined with one or more of the first decoupling capacitor S-parameter models to generate a combined S-parameter model for the power distribution network. Further, an impedance profile for the power distribution network is determined based on the combined S-parameter model.

In one example, the method may include iteratively executing a dynamic security analysis (DSA) on a power grid based on a simulation of a dynamic power system model, receiving measurements from one or more sensors on the power grid, modifying one or more parameters of the dynamic power system model used in a previous iteration of the DSA based on the received measurements, simulating the modified dynamic power system model, determining a security value of the power grid during a current iteration of the DSA based on the simulated modified dynamic power system model, and storing the determined security value in memory.
System and method for seasonal energy consumption determination using verified energy loads with the aid of a digital computer
A system and method for seasonal energy consumption determination using verified energy loads with the aid of a digital computer are provided. A digital computer is operated, including: obtaining energy loads for a building measured over a seasonal time period; obtaining outdoor temperatures for the building as measured over the seasonal time period; verifying stability of the energy loads, including: evaluating the energy loads over time; and identifying at least one of one or more discontinuities and one or more irregularities in the energy loads based on the evaluation. Operating the computer further includes: determining a baseload energy consumption using at least some of those of the energy loads; calculating seasonal fuel consumption rates and balance point temperatures; and disaggregating seasonal fuel consumption based on the baseload energy consumption, seasonal fuel consumption rates, balance point temperatures, and at least some of the outdoor temperatures into component loads of consumption.
Circuit cells having power grid stubs
An integrated circuit includes a first power rail and a second power rail extending in a first direction, and a first power grid stub connected to the first power rail through a first via-connector. The integrated circuit also includes a first vertical conducting line extending in a second direction in a circuit cell between a first vertical cell boundary and a second vertical cell boundary. The first vertical conducting line and the first power grid stub are in a same metal layer and aligned with each other along the second direction.
Integrated circuit including standard cell and method of designing the integrated circuit
An integrated circuit includes a plurality of standard cells including first and second standard cells arranged adjacent to each other in a first direction, and first, second, and third metal layers sequentially stacked in a vertical direction. At least one power segment is arranged adjacent a region where at least one of the first standard cell and the second standard cell is arranged. The at least one power segment is configured to provide power to the plurality of standard cells and is formed as a pattern of the third metal layer extending in a second direction.
Method for planning a layout of a renewable energy site
Correlated sets of historical meteorological data and terrain data are obtained for at least one geographical area. A data model is derived based on the basis of the correlated sets, by training the data model. The trained data model is adapted to identify coherence between meteorological data and terrain data relating to the same geographical area. Meteorological data and terrain data related to the renewable energy site are fed to the trained data model, the terrain data having a higher resolution than the meteorological data. Using the trained model, meteorological data related to the renewable energy site with increased resolution is estimated by downscaling the meteorological data. The estimated meteorological data with increased resolution for the renewable energy site is then used for planning a layout of the renewable energy site.
System and method for a post-modification building balance point temperature determination with the aid of a digital computer
A system and method for determining a balance point of a building that has undergone or is about to undergo modifications (such as shell improvements) are provided. A balance point of the building before the modifications can be determined using empirical data. Total thermal conductivity of the building before and after the modifications is determined and compared. Indoor temperature of the building is obtained. The balance point temperature after the modifications can be determined using a result of the comparison, the temperature inside the building, and the pre-modification balance point temperature. Knowing post-modification balance point temperature allows power grid operators to take into account fuel consumption by that building when planning for power production and distribution. Knowing the post-improvement balance point temperature also provides owners of the building information on which they can base the decision whether to implement the improvements.
