Hydraulic system for a household appliance
A hydraulic system for a household appliance which includes a pump that is driven by an electric motor, an outlet conduit in fluid communication with an outlet of the pump, a magnetic check valve having a flap and a control unit. The control unit is configured to control the speed of the electric motor in a closed loop and to determine whether the flap of the check valve is in an open position or in a closed position based on the torque of the electric motor estimated from the current consumption of the electric motor and/or the voltage in the terminals of the electric motor.
Washing machine appliance non-shedding load detection
A washing machine appliance includes a tub and a rotatable basket therein. A method of operating the washing machine appliance may include rotating the basket at one or more first speeds prior to a water extraction operation and obtaining a first set of power measurements. The method may also include performing the water extraction operation. The water extraction operation may include rotating the basket at a second speed greater than the one or more first speeds. The method may further include rotating the basket at the one or more first speeds after the water extraction operation and obtaining a second set of power measurements. The method may also include determining a load type of the load of articles based on the first set of power measurements and the second set of power measurements.
Method for controlling laundry treatment apparatus
A method for controlling a laundry treatment includes performing, by the lower treatment device, a washing course including a water supply step, a washing (rinsing) step, and a dehydration step, and performing, by the upper treatment device, a drying course including a hot air supply step, a fan operation step, and a dryness sensing step. The lower treatment device performs the washing course by changing a configuration of at least one of an operation of the tub heater, an execution time of the washing course, and an operation of the lower driver according to a progress state of the drying course, thereby performing the washing course.
Combination washer/dryer cycle for a recreational vehicle
A combination washer/dryer laundry appliance includes a recirculating process air flow system in fluid communication with a conditioning system for dehumidification and heating of the process air. The laundry appliance may be adaptable for use in a recreational vehicle with a water conservation mode setting for one or more laundry cycles. In the conservation mode, condensate water from a prior drying cycle is stored in a sump for use in a subsequent wash cycle.
