Dryer appliance and method for cleaning operation

A dryer appliance including a drum, a heater assembly, a reservoir, and a controller is provided. The drum defines a chamber for receipt of articles for drying. The heater assembly is in fluid communication with the chamber to flow air thereto. The reservoir is configured to receive a fluid, such as a cleaning solution, a disinfecting solution, or a perfume solution. The reservoir is in selective fluid communication with the chamber to provide the fluid to the chamber. The controller is configured to perform operations that, when executed by the controller, causes the dryer appliance to perform operations. The operations include flowing fluid to the chamber from the reservoir.

A method is provided for monitoring an operation of a plurality of washing machines that is each located at a plurality of facilities. The method includes receiving, at a processor, first data indicating a value of one or more parameters related to usage of the plurality of washing machines at each facility of the plurality of facilities. The method also includes determining, with the processor, a value of a normalized parameter for the usage of the plurality of washing machines at each facility based on the first data. The method also includes comparing, with the processor, the value of the normalized parameter for each facility with a target value of the normalized parameter. The method also includes outputting, on a display, an output based on the comparing step.

Detecting a presence of a cleaning agent during a self-clean cycle of a washing machine appliance

A method for operating a washing machine appliance may comprise a step of monitoring, with a sensor, a conductivity measurement of a tub of the washing machine appliance. The method may also include a step of receiving an input indicative of a selection of a self-clean cycle of the washing machine appliance. The method may further include a step of activating the self-clean cycle of the washing machine appliance. The method may also include a step of recording the conductivity measurement of the tub in response to the self-clean cycle being activated. The method may further include a step of comparing the recorded conductivity measurement to a first reference conductivity value. The method may also include a step of determining, based on the compared recorded conductivity measurement and the first reference conductivity value, the presence of a cleaning agent within the tub.

Device, household appliance and method for identifying substance groups in a fluid within a household appliance

Device for detecting substance groups in a fluid within a household appliance, comprising an emission apparatus that emits a first electromagnetic radiation, characterized by an emission spectrum, into a test volume present with the fluid, further comprising a first measuring apparatus that detects a first spectrum of a second electromagnetic radiation led out of the test volume present with the fluid, further comprising an evaluation apparatus that is provided and designed to evaluate the first spectrum, whereby substance groups can be identified by using reference spectra, with the emission spectrum comprising a wavelength range of visible light and infrared radiation.

Configuration file database for dispensing systems

Systems, methods, and computer program products for configuring and managing chemical dispensers (41). A mobile device (18) scans for and wirelessly connects to dispensers (41) within range of the wireless device (18). The wireless device (18) downloads one or more configuration files from a database (28) of dispenser configuration files for configuring the dispenser (41). In response to the user selecting a configuration file, one or more configuration parameters defined by the configuration file are uploaded into the dispenser (41). The wireless device (18) may then step the user through setup of the dispenser (41) using data in the configuration file. The mobile device (16) may further determine the location of the dispenser (41), and upload the location to the database (28). The database (28) may then associate the dispenser (41) with the location as well as keep track of how the dispenser is configured.

Laundry treating apparatus and method for controlling the same

A laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet, a drum configured to accommodate laundry, a base that disposed below the drum and defines a space configured to guide air circulating to the drum or correct moisture in the air, a motor configured to rotate the drum, a heat exchange unit disposed at the base and configured to condense the moisture in the air and to heat the air, a steam generator configured to generate steam to be supplied to the drum. The motor is disposed behind the drum and spaced apart from the base, and the base includes a circulation flow path part configured to circulate the air to the drum, and a steam generator installation space that accommodates the steam generator therein.
