Synthetic fiber first processing agent, synthetic fiber processing agent, aqueous solution preparation method, synthetic fiber processing method, synthetic fibers, short fibers, spun yard and non-woven fabric
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a synthetic fiber first processing agent which improves storage stability. This synthetic fiber first processing agent contains a phosphate compound (A), a solvent (S) and an optional non-ionic surfactant (C), said agent being characterized in that the content ratio of the phosphate compound (A) to the non-ionic surfactant (C) is within a prescribed range, and by being used in conjunction with a synthetic fiber second processing agent which contains a non-ionic surfactant (E). The phosphate compound (A) contains a prescribed organic phosphate ester compound, and the proton NMR integration ratio attributable to an inorganic phosphate compound during proton NMR measurement when performing an alkali over-neutralization preprocessing is set to a prescribed range. The solvent (S) has a boiling point no higher than 105 C. at atmospheric pressure. The non-ionic surfactant (C) has a (poly)oxyalkylene structure in the molecule thereof.
Anti-odor compositions, structures having anti-odor characteristics, methods of making the anti-odor compositions and the structures
One or more aspects of the present disclosure are directed to aqueous solutions that can be used to make substrates such as an article that can inhibit or limit one or more sources of odor. In an aspect, the aqueous solution can include one or more components, where one of the components is an inhibiting agent that can function to inhibit or limit the sources of odor in an article such as a textile.
Coating composition, a coated fabric, a method of making a coated fabric, and an article made from the coated fabric
A coating composition which comprises a dispersion which is a melt blended product of one or more olefinic base polymers; one or more dispersants; one or more compatibilizers; water; and optionally base; wherein the dispersion exhibits an average volume mean particle size diameter of less than or equal to 2 microns, a solids content of equal to or less than 70 wt %, and a pH of 8 or greater; one or more rheology modifiers; and optionally one or more neutralizing agents is provided. An article coated with the coating composition and a method of making the coated article are also provided.
MOF-fabric composites and methods of MOF-fabric composite synthesis
Provided are MOF-fabric composites having a crystalline MOF adhered directly to fibers of the fabric and methods of making MOF-fabric composites. A solution is adsorbed onto a fabric. The solution can include a metal salt, a linker, and a solvent. The solution is adsorbed onto the fabric and the fabric suspended over a heated vapor. The vapor releases onto the fabric, causing the metal salt, the linker, and the solvent to diffuse out of the polymer fibers. The linker links metal from the metal salts to form crystals attached to the fabric, and the vapor aids crystallization.
Treatment agent for polyester synthetic fibers, composition containing treatment agent for polyester synthetic fibers, first treatment agent for polyester synthetic fibers, second treatment agent for polyester synthetic fibers, composition containing first treatment agent for polyester synthetic fibers, treatment method for polyester synthetic fibers, and polyester synthetic fibers
Disclosed is a polyester synthetic fiber treatment agent that contains a silicone (A), a silicone (B), a nonionic surfactant, an anionic ingredient, and optionally a silicone (C). The amount of the silicone (C) contained in the polyester synthetic fiber treatment agent is less than 10% by mass. The silicone (A) is a silanol-modified silicone with a number average molecular weight of not less than 50,000 but less than 200,000. The silicone (B) is a silane coupling agent having at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of a methoxy group, an ethoxy group, an amino group, and an isocyanate group but not including an epoxy group in the molecule. The silicone (C) is at least one selected from the group consisting of silicone resins, dimethyl silicones, and alkyl-modified silicones but excluding those corresponding to being the silicone (A).
FERROMAGNETIC SKIRT FOR A MEDICAL DEVICE
An implantable medical device includes a wire frame, a cover, and a sensor. The wire frame is formed of struts and openings. The cover connects to the struts of the wire frame. The cover is fashioned from a fabric including a PET fabric made of PET yarn and a ferromagnetic material combined with the PET fabric. The PET yarn is made from a plurality of PET fibers. The sensor is positioned on the cover and connected to the wire frame. The cover shields the sensor from detuning effects of the wire frame.
Polymer-aerogel/fiber and polymer-aerogel/textile composites and related systems and methods
The present disclosure generally relates to polymer-aerogel/fiber composite materials, polymer-aerogel/textile composite materials, and systems and methods for producing them. The gel material can comprise, in some embodiments, a network of polymer. The fiber and/or textile material can comprise at least one of any natural, synthetic, and/or mineral fiber. In some cases, certain combinations of materials, solvents, and/or processing steps may be synergistically employed so as to enable manufacture of materials suitable for use in apparel, soft goods, and other consumer applications which may benefit from the properties of a polymer-aerogel/fiber composite and/or the polymer-aerogel/textile composite.
