Apparatus and method for internal cleaning of a pipeline
12303949 · 2025-05-20 · ·

An apparatus and related process for the internal cleaning of a pipeline that includes an interchangeable rotary cleaning head, a motor device coupled to the rotary head, a movement device configured to move the apparatus inside the pipeline, and a remote control system. The combined movement of the rotary head rotation and of the advancing motion of the apparatus inside the pipeline allows the disintegration of the deposits present internally of the pipeline by mechanical action.

Sensor apparatus having an embedded optical interrogator
12306024 · 2025-05-20 · ·

A sensor apparatus is provided in which both an optical interrogator and an optical waveguide are embedded in the same component made of fiber-reinforced plastic. The optical interrogator and the optical waveguide thus form a unit with the component made of fiber-reinforced plastic, in which they are embedded. The optical interrogator and the optical waveguide are arranged in this case protected in the same component made of fiber-reinforced plastic. The optical waveguide does not have to be led out of this component and into the interrogator. The risk of damage to the optical waveguide is thus significantly reduced.

Stop and go pig

A pig is provided for use in pipelines filled with a flowing fluid. The pig includes a pig body, a drive element which may be a propeller disposed on said pig body which can be rotated by the flowing fluid. The pig also includes a generator unit connected to the drive element through which a movement of the drive element may be converted into electrical energy, and a locking means through which the position and/or the speed of the pig inside the pipeline may be fixed. The generator unit is designed to operate as a motor through which the drive element may be made to rotate and which is designed to set a speed for the pig that is different from the flow velocity of the flowing fluid inside the pipeline and that the pig is provided with an energy storage unit for electrical energy, which is connected to the generator unit.

Non-intrusive tracking of objects and fluids in wellbores

Systems and methods of the present disclosure relate to non-intrusively monitoring a fluid level or an object in a conduit. A system comprises a component positioned to control flow into or out of the conduit to induce pressure waves in the conduit; a pressure transducer in fluid communication with the conduit, the pressure transducer positioned to measure pressure responses in the conduit due to contact of the pressure waves with the fluid level or the object; and a system controller operable to: receive pressure data from the pressure transducer, the pressure data comprising the pressure responses; and determine a distance of the fluid level or the object in the conduit, relative to the component or the pressure transducer, based on the pressure responses.

Extension sleeve for a camera adapter and nozzle having the extension sleeve
12397310 · 2025-08-26 · ·

Electrical interference signals are to be eliminated during operation and video quality improved in a metal extension sleeve incorporated in an internal space of a nozzle element of a pipe cleaning nozzle and/or inspection nozzle for contacting an electrical conductor via a camera adapter through the internal space of the nozzle element with a camera module fastened outside the nozzle element. The extension sleeve spans the length of the nozzle element and is releasably fastened form-fit and/or force-fit on the camera adapter and the at least one extension sleeve has coupling threads along the outer surface of the coupling section, with which the extension sleeve is tightened in the internal space of the nozzle element. The metal extension sleeve has an electrical insulation layer made of plastic on its outer surface spaced from the central longitudinal axis, which is applied fully to the entire outer surface without defects.

Non-intrusive tracking of objects in pipelines and wellbores

Systems and methods of the present disclosure relate to non-intrusive tracking of objects in a conduit from a single location. A system comprises a component positioned to control flow into or out of the conduit to induce pressure waves in the conduit; a pressure transducer in fluid communication with the conduit, the pressure transducer positioned to measure pressure responses in the conduit due to contact of the pressure waves with the object; and a system controller operable to: receive pressure data from the pressure transducer, wherein the pressure data includes the pressure responses to the pressure waves; and determine a distance of the object in the conduit, relative to the component or the pressure transducer, based on the pressure responses.

Pig including an X-ray fluorescence sensor
