Universal track derailer assembly
A rail track derailer is comprised of a box assembly which includes a pair of parallel, spaced guide plates supported vertically on a horizontal base mounting plate configured for attachment on the gage of a rail to the top sides of a pair of spaced rail ties. The spaced guide plates may be transversely locked to the gage side of a rail. A pivotal arm is slidably attached between the guide plates. The arm includes a derailer shoe along the top of a rail. An arrangement of guide surfaces and followers that connect the box assembly and arm effect positioning of the shoe on and off the rail. The mounting plate may be attached to ties by spikes and to concrete or steel ties by plates on the underside of such toes bolted to the box assembly mounting plate.
Train derailer placement warning device
A derail placement warning system for a railway derailer that automatically generates an alert to inform railway personnel (or others) of the placement of the derailer on a rail of the railway such that the derailer will derail rail traffic over the derailer. The warning system has an electronic circuit with an electric power source, an electronic switch and an electronic alert, and is configured for the switch to automatically activate and turn ON the alert when the derailing component of the derailer is positioned atop a railway rail. The alert comprises one or more of an audible component, a tactile sensation, an olfactory component, a visible light emission, and an electronic transmission.
Train derailer placement warning device
A derail placement warning system for a railway derailer that automatically generates an alert to inform railway personnel (or others) of the placement of the derailer on a rail of the railway such that the derailer will derail rail traffic over the derailer. The derail warning system may include a solar-powered LED indicator for derail or switch. The derail warning system may also include an orientation sensor that automatically turns on depending on the orientation of the derail (up or down), derail metal flag, or switch indicator flag. The derail warning system may bring more visibility with a 360-degree LED that is solar powered and may detect orientation and turn on based on the position of the derail, switch, or flag. The derail warning system may use a unique acceleration sensor or g-sensor that can detect orientation movement and automatically turn on or off and be fully charged to operate day or night. The derail warning system may also include a data-logging microprocessor to determine a time stamp of position and location.

Double point derail switch
A derailer for use in a railroad system, has an outside switch point that selectively overlays a running surface of a first mainline track and rises above the running surface of the first mainline track and an outside switch rail mechanically fastened to the outside switch point. The derailer also includes an inside switch rail including a second switch point that selectively lies adjacent a head of a second mainline track and terminates between the first and second mainline tracks.
Double point derail switch
