Aerosol detergent composition
A nonflammable aerosol composition for washing various types of car/vehicle is of low toxicity, which has little environmental impact in terms of depletion of the ozone layer and so forth, which has a washability as good as or better than conventional products such as has been unattained by aqueous products or high-flash-point products, which permits achievement of appropriate drying characteristics, and which, while preventing erosion of rubbers and resins, causes dirt components to be moistened and washed off and away therefrom by the detergent composition, and which permits accommodation of mechanization by virtue of its being capable of being sprayed thereonto from a roughly constant distance therefrom, said aerosol composition for washing is made to contain (Z)-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene and gas propellant which is N.sub.2, compressed air, CO.sub.2, argon, or a mixture of two or more thereof.
Water-soluble film and water-soluble unit dose article made therefrom
Water-soluble film and unit dose articles made therefrom, where the water-soluble film includes a water-soluble polymer, where the water-soluble polymer includes a blend of a caseinate polymer and a polyvinyl alcohol homopolymer.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR REMOVING SOIL FROM SURFACES
The present invention relates to an aqueous composition for removing soils from a surface to be cleaned, formed from water, a detergent mixture and a rinse aid, wherein the detergent mixture comprises a peroxidation catalyst and wherein the rinse aid comprises an oxygen source. Such a composition may provide a more effective cleaning behaviour. The present invention further relates to a method for removing soil from a surface to be cleaned comprising applying to the surface to be cleaned a composition according to the invention.
BLEACH CATALYST
A bleach catalyst suitable for use in automatic dishwashing comprising a mixed metal oxide.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING REDUCED GLYCOL FATTY ALCOHOL ETHOXYLATES, REDUCED GLYCOL SULFATE ETHOXYLATED SURFACTANTS, AND PRODUCTS
A method of producing a reduced glycol fatty alcohol ethoxylate material may include removing at least a portion of glycol in the fatty alcohol ethoxylate material. A method of producing a reduced glycol sulfate ethoxylated sulfate surfactant may include, removing at least a portion of glycol in an ethoxylated fatty alcohol raw material before the ethoxylated fatty alcohol raw material is sulfated to produce the reduced glycol sulfate ethoxylated sulfate surfactant. A surfactant including an ethoxylated fatty alcohol with 100 ppm or less by weight of free glycol. A surfactant including a sulfated ethoxylated alcohol with 100 ppm or less by weight of diethylene glycol monosulfate sodium.
POWDERS AND GRANULES AND PROCESS FOR MAKING SUCH POWDERS AND GRANULES
The present invention is directed towards a process for making a powder or granule containing (A) at least one alkali metal salt of citric acid, and at least one additive selected from (B) at least one (co)polymer containing carboxylic acid groups, partially neutralized with alkali, in a weight ratio of (A):(B) of from 5:1 up to 100:1, wherein said powder or granule contains at least 75% by weight of citrate (A), said process comprising the steps of (a) mixing the at least one alkali metal salt of citric acid (A) and the at least one (co)polymer (B) in the presence of water, (b) removing most of said water by spray-drying or spray granulation using a gas with an inlet temperature of at least 125° C.
System and Method for Removing Plumbing Fixture Buildup
Buildup in a plumbing fixture is removed by providing a bag containing a quantity of concentrated fixture cleaning chemicals and then securing the bag to the fixture to be cleaned. After securing the bag to the fixture, the bag is filled with water from the fixture which mixes with the concentrated chemicals to create a cleaning solution that covers the fixture, and then the fixture is allowed to soak in the created cleaning solution to thereby dissolve the buildup.
Cleaning Formulations for Chemically Sensitive Individuals: Compositions and Methods
The present disclosure relates to cleaning compositions in general, and cleaning compositions that are well suited for use by individuals, who experience adverse health effects that may occur upon exposure to certain chemicals. This condition, characterized as multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS), makes it virtually impossible for certain individuals to use commercially available cleaning products without inducing immunological responses. The disclosure presents and describes protocols for the formulation and evaluation of a variety of cleaning products and dilutable cleaning product concentrates using a combination of .sup.14C assay, head space analysis and screening of both ingredients and final products for governmentally-regulated materials. The methods and compositions newly presented herein avoid causing adverse health responses in individuals and are suitable for use by any person, particularly individuals who experience MCS.
Method of Simultaneously Maximizing the Mildness and Cleaning Performance of a Liquid Dishwashing Composition
A method of simultaneously maximizing the mildness and cleaning performance of a liquid dishwashing composition includes the steps of: A. forming the composition that has a pH of greater than about 7 and up to about 11, that comprises sodium laureth sulfate, an amine oxide, and optionally cocamidopropyl betaine, and that is substantially free of sodium lauryl sulfate; and B. subjecting a sample of the composition to a Zein test, a corneosurfametry (CSM) test, and an in vitro cytokine release test for IL-1α response, respectively,
wherein the sample exhibits a Zein score of from about 0.1 to about 2.5, a CSM test value of from about 10 to about 35, and a cytokine release test value of from about 100 to about 600.
Maintenance liquid and maintenance method
There is provided a maintenance liquid, which is used in maintenance of a device equipped with a discharge head for discharging an ultraviolet ray curable-type composition containing the acyl phosphine oxide-based photopolymerization initiator toward an attachment object, including a polymerizable compound in which a saturation solubility of an acyl phosphine oxide-based photopolymerization initiator at 20° C. is equal to or greater than 5.0% by mass.
