An information communication apparatus in one aspect of the present disclosure comprises a controller and a proximity wireless communication device. The controller performs a control process including at least transmission and/or reception of information between the information communication apparatus and at least one information holding apparatus. The at least one information holding apparatus comprises a battery pack and/or a field electric apparatus. The proximity wireless communication device communicates the information via the proximity wireless communication with an operation apparatus different from the at least one information holding apparatus.

A device and system for managing medication delivery devices includes a case with a housing having an opening for receiving a medication delivery device. A cover is configured and arranged to cover the opening. A medication delivery device such as: an auto injector is disposed in the housing. A sensor to detect the position of the cover may be provided. An electronic control system is operatively associated with the housing and disposed in wireless communication with a gateway device. The electronic control system is configured and arranged to provide a signal to the gateway device when the case is within, proximity of the gateway device. The electronic control system is also configured and arranged to transmit corresponding signals to the gateway device based on the position of the cover, the presence of the medication delivery device in the case, and/or the activation of the delivery device.

A method includes receiving, by a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag, a radio frequency (RF) signal from an RFID reader. When the RF signal includes a command, the method further includes interpreting, by the RFID tag, the command to determine a field strength shell of interest. When the RFID tag is in the field strength shell of interest, the method further includes further interpreting, by the RFID tag, the command to determine a type of request, and providing, by the RFID tag, a response regarding the type of request to include one or more of a matched impedance value generated in response to the RF signal, a field strength reference current generated in response to the RF signal, and a digital value representative of an environmental condition.
