A defect inspecting system includes a detector configured to image a sample and a host control device that acquires an inspection image including a defect and a plurality of reference images not including a defect site and generates a pseudo defect image by editing a predetermined reference image among the plurality of acquired reference images. An initial parameter is determined with which the pseudo defect site is detectable from the pseudo defect image. The host control device acquires a defect candidate site from the inspection image using the initial parameter, estimates a high-quality image from an image of a site corresponding to the defect candidate site using the parameter acquired in image quality enhancement, and specifies an actual defect site in the inspection image by executing defect discrimination. A parameter is determined with which a site close to the specified actual defect site is detectable using the inspection image.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR GENERATING END-TO-END DE-SMOKING MODEL

The disclosure herein relates to methods and systems for generating an end-to-end de-smoking model for removing smoke present in a video. Conventional data-driven based de-smoking approaches are limited mainly due to lack of suitable training data. Further, the conventional data-driven based de-smoking approaches are not end-to-end for removing the smoke present in the video. The de-smoking model of the present disclosure is trained end-to-end with the use of synthesized smoky video frames that are obtained by source aware smoke synthesis approach. The end-to-end de-smoking model localize and remove the smoke present in the video, using dynamic properties of the smoke. Hence the end-to-end de-smoking model simultaneously identifies the regions affected with the smoke and performs the de-smoking with minimal artifacts. localized smoke removal and color restoration of a real-time video.

The computer executable components comprise a reception component that receives a scan image generated from 3D scan data relative to a first axis of a 3D volume, and an enhancement component that applies an enhancement model to the scan image to generate an enhanced scan image having a higher resolution relative to the scan image. The enhancement model comprises a deep learning neural network model trained on training image pairs respectively comprising a low-resolution scan image and a corresponding high-resolution scan image respectively generated relative to a second axis of the 3D volume.

A system and method are provided to improve quality in an under-display camera (UDC) system with radially-increasing distortion. At least one processor receives an image and performs multi-frame processing, image signal processing, and a point spread function inversion (PSFI) on the image to produce a processed image. A PSFI radial coring is applied on the processed image to reduce noise in the processed image resulting from the PSFI. The at least one processor can apply a chroma suppression to the processing of the image to reduce brightness and color saturation is select areas in the processed image. Image restoration can be performed on the processed image to produce an output image. The image restoration may include generating a dither signal, applying a dither signal corner attenuation to the dither signal, combining the attenuated dither signal with a sharpened denoised signal, and applying a halo suppression on the combined signals.

High efficiency dynamic contrast processing

A high efficiency method of processing images to provide perceptual high-contrast output. Pixel intensities are calculated by a weighted combination of a fixed number of static bounding rectangle sizes. This is more performant than incrementally growing the bounding rectangle size and performing expensive analysis on resultant histograms. To mitigate image artifacts and noise, blurring and down-sampling are applied to the image prior to processing.

A latent code defined in an input space is processed by the mapping neural network to produce an intermediate latent code defined in an intermediate latent space. The intermediate latent code may be used as appearance vector that is processed by the synthesis neural network to generate an image. The appearance vector is a compressed encoding of data, such as video frames including a person's face, audio, and other data. Captured images may be converted into appearance vectors at a local device and transmitted to a remote device using much less bandwidth compared with transmitting the captured images. A synthesis neural network at the remote device reconstructs the images for display.

An image positioning system based on upsampling and a method thereof are provided. The image positioning method based on upsampling is to fetch a region image covering a target from a wide region image, determine a rough position of the target, execute an upsampling process on the region image based on neural network data model for obtaining a super-resolution region image, map the rough position onto the super-resolution region image, and analyze the super-resolution region image for determining a precise position of the target. The present disclosed example can significantly improve the efficiency of positioning and effectively reduce the required cost of hardware.
