CLASSIFICATION-BASED IMAGE MERGING, TUNING, CORRECTION, AND REPLACEMENT
Methods for improving and modifying a High Dynamic Range (HDR) scene, captured as a series of images of the scene with different exposure levels and the scene through classification-based image merging, tuning, correction, and replacement. The approach employs mixing images to improve the selection and display of both shadowed and highlighted details. The increased efficiency resulting from improvements in computational resource utilization of image processing hardware can, from the implementation of the improved computational methods herein, significantly reduce the time required to generate and display a tone-mapped HDR image, a gamma-corrected HDR image, and/or a segmented and replaced HDR image.
AUXILIARY PREDICTION SYSTEM FOR PREDICTING RELIABILITY, AND METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT THEREOF
An auxiliary prediction system is provided to predict reliability of an object after a specific operation is applied to the target object. The auxiliary prediction system includes an image correction module and an analysis module. The image correction module performs an image correction procedure to convert an original image of the target object into a first correction image. The analysis module performs a feature analysis on the first correction image through an artificial intelligence model that has been trained, so as to predict whether the target object has a defect or not after the specific operation.

An image processing apparatus comprises a changing unit configured to change a display area of an image from a first display area to a second display area including at least a portion of the first display area, an acquiring unit configured to acquire a first value indicating luminance, in which brightness contrast is considered, in an image displayed in the first display area and a second value indicating luminance, in which brightness contrast is considered, in an image displayed in the second display area, and a correcting unit configured to correct luminance of the image displayed in the second display area based on the first value and the second value that are acquired by the acquiring unit.
Method and device for latency reduction of an image processing pipeline
In some implementations, a method of reducing latency associated with an image read-out operation is performed at a device including one or more processors, non-transitory memory, an image processing architecture, and an image capture device. The method includes: obtaining first image data corresponding to a physical environment; reading a first slice of the first image data into an input buffer; performing processing operations on the first slice of the first image data to obtain a first portion of second image data; reading a second slice of the first image data into the input buffer; performing the image processing operations on the second slice of the first image data to obtain a second portion of the second image data; and generating an image frame of the physical environment based at least in part on the first and second portions of the second image data.
METHOD, CONTROLLER AND APPARATUS FOR CORRECTING THERMAL IMAGES
A method for correcting thermal image distortion in a thermal camera in an apparatus for the layer-by-layer manufacture of three-dimensional objects, the thermal camera comprising a plurality of sensor pixels arranged along a first direction; the method comprising the steps of: (a) causing a temperature reference to be at a first steady state temperature; (b) moving the temperature reference at the first steady state temperature through a plurality of positions along the first direction through the field of view of the thermal camera; (c) recording a plurality of thermal images with the thermal camera while moving the temperature reference during step (b), each thermal image corresponding to one of the plurality of positions and comprising the detected temperature of the temperature reference as detected by at least one pixel of the plurality of sensor pixels; (d) identifying the at least one pixel that detected the temperature of the temperature reference within a respective thermal image at the corresponding one of the plurality of positions; (e) constructing a thermal map from the identified pixels representing the detected temperature of the temperature reference at the plurality of positions; (f) generating a correction matrix for the identified pixels based on comparison between the thermal map and the first steady state temperature; and (g) applying the correction matrix to subsequent measurements of the thermal camera. A controller and an apparatus for the layer-by-layer manufacture of three-dimensional objects comprising the controller to carry out the method are also provided.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND DRIVING METHOD FOR THE SAME
A method for driving an electronic device is described. The method may include receiving light passing through a display panel, generating an image signal based on the light, compensating the image signal with a compensation algorithm to generate a compensated image signal, wherein the compensation algorithm is trained with training data including a first comparison image and a second comparison image, and displaying, on the display panel, a compensated image based on the compensated image signal, wherein the first comparison image is a target restoration image and the second comparison image is a composite image.
MEDICAL INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, MEDICAL INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, a medical information processing method generates a high-contrast image by applying conversion processing to a first medical image captured by a first diagnostic apparatus and having a first contrast in a region of interest, the high-contrast image having a contrast higher than a contrast of a second medical image obtained by a second diagnostic apparatus. The method generates a pseudo second medical image by applying image processing to the high-contrast image, the pseudo second medical image simulating the second medical image and having a second contrast lower than the first contrast. The method trains a model using the pseudo second medical image as input data and the high-contrast image as ground truth data, and generates a trained model.
Video projector and video display method
To provide a video projector which improves visibility in response to changes in projection environment, a video projector has an initial level setter, a level adjuster, a projection display, an image capture, and a projection histogram calculator. The initial level setter performs a prescribed initial level setting on an input video signal and outputs an initial display signal. The level adjuster adjusts the level of the initial display signal on the basis of a projection image and outputs a display signal. The image capture captures the projection image projected on a projection surface by the projection display based on the display signal. The projection histogram calculator prepares a projection histogram for each color. The level adjuster adjusts the level of the initial display signal for each color on the basis of the projection histogram.
