Liquid agent mist recovery device
An ink mist recovery device allows suction of ink mist with uniform suction force irrespective of a position on a confronting sheet. The ink mist recovery device includes a recovery casing having multiple suction ports confronting a sheet, and a suction unit connected to the recovery casing. At least one of a size of each of the suction ports and a first suction distance from each of the suction ports to a suction slit is set in accordance with a second suction distance from the suction unit to the suction slit via each of the suction ports so that the suction force is kept uniform at the respective positions on the sheet corresponding to the suction ports. The mist suction force is made uniform over the entire width of the suction slit to improve quality of the printed image without sucking ink droplets required to land.
Waste liquid collector and liquid discharge apparatus
A waste liquid collector includes a waste liquid tank, a rotatable member, and a cover. The waste liquid tank is removably inserted in the waste liquid collector, the waste liquid tank configured to collect waste liquid. The rotatable member is configured to rotate with removal or insertion of the waste liquid tank. The cover is configured to contact a waste liquid inlet portion of the waste liquid tank to cover a waste liquid inlet portion, the cover being slidable with respect to the rotatable member.
LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS AND LIQUID COLLECTION CONTAINER
The present invention provides a liquid ejection apparatus and a liquid collection container that can suppress a decrease in productivity by reducing time required to remove an absorber from a waste liquid collection unit and time required to attach the absorber to the waste liquid collection unit. To this end, a second absorber is provided to cover partition walls in a collection unit.
LIQUID SURFACE DETECTOR, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING LIQUID SURFACE DETECTOR
A liquid surface detector includes an electrode pad, a coil, a memory, and a detection control circuit. The electrode pad is attached to an outer side surface of a tank of the image forming apparatus. The coil is connected to the electrode pad. The memory stores initial values. The detection control circuit determines a capacitance (first capacitance) of a first resonance circuit including the coil and the tank with the electrode pad. When determining a liquid surface level value, the detection control circuit subtracts an error value from the first capacitance so as to determine a first corrected capacitance, and determines the liquid surface level value based on the first corrected capacitance and the initial value.
LIQUID EJECTION DEVICE INCLUDING CARTRIDGE ATTACHMENT PORTION AND POWER TRANSMISSION MECHANISM ARRANGED ON THE SAME SIDE RELATIVE TO SHEET ROLL HOLDER
A liquid ejection device includes: a casing; a holder for rotatably supporting a sheet roll including a continuous sheet; a power transmission mechanism positioned beside the holder for transmitting a rotational driving force thereto; a cartridge attachment portion for receiving a cartridge; a conveying mechanism for conveying the continuous sheet to a discharge opening on a front surface of the casing; a head; and a maintenance unit. The holder supporting the sheet roll is rotatable about a rotation axis extending in a leftward/rightward direction. The cartridge and the holder are detachably attachable to the casing through an opening thereof. The cartridge attachment portion and the power transmission mechanism are positioned at the same side of the holder in the leftward/rightward direction. An occupying range of the maintenance unit is across respective occupying ranges of the cartridge attachment portion and the power transmission mechanism in the leftward/rightward direction.
Waste ink conveying device and image forming apparatus
A waste ink conveying device includes a waste ink tank installed in a tank installed part, and a tank cover opening/closing the tank installed part. The tank cover includes a nozzle, a nozzle operation part and a cover locking part. The nozzle flowing a waste ink is inserted in an inflow port in the waste ink tank. The nozzle operation part switches projecting and retracting of the nozzle to insert and retract the nozzle to the inflow port. The cover locking part switches locking and unlocking of closing of the tank cover. If the cover locking part is in a locking state and the nozzle is in a retracting state, the cover locking part can be switched to an unlocking state. If the cover locking part is in the locking state and the nozzle is in a projecting state, the cover locking part cannot be switched to the unlocking state.
LIQUID ABSORBER, LIQUID-ABSORBING SHEET, LIQUID ABSORBENT, AND IMAGE-FORMING APPARATUS
A liquid absorber includes a container and an absorbing unit. The container has an opening and collects a liquid. The absorbing unit is an assembly of porous absorbent blocks, each containing fibers and a polymeric absorbent, and is in the container with spaces between the porous absorbent blocks. Each of the porous absorbent blocks has a first component and a second component. The first component is porous and has a density of 0.05 [g/cm.sup.3] or more and 0.50 [g/cm.sup.3] or less. The second component has a higher polymeric absorbent content than the first component.
Liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a transport section which transports a medium in a transport direction, a liquid ejecting head which ejects a liquid onto the medium, a carriage which supports the liquid ejecting head, a liquid storage container which stores the liquid to be supplied to the liquid ejecting head, and an discharge section which discharges the medium onto which the liquid is ejected. The liquid ejecting apparatus further includes a holding section which holds a waste liquid box configured to store the liquid eliminated from the liquid ejecting head as a waste liquid. The holding section is disposed at a position downstream of the carriage in the transport direction and above the discharge section.
SPITTOON CARTRIDGE FOR A PRINTING DEVICE
Disclosed herein is a spittoon cartridge for a printing device, a printing device and a method of controlling a spittoon cartridge. The spittoon cartridge comprises a waste tank to store material ejected from a print head; a transfer unit to transfer material ejected from the print head into the waste tank; and a floater movably arranged in the spittoon cartridge, wherein a position of the floater depends on a filling level of the waste tank and wherein the floater impedes transfer of material by the transfer unit if the floater reaches a predefined warning position.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes an apparatus main body including: a transport unit that transports a medium; a liquid ejecting head that is provided above a transport path for the medium and performs recording by ejecting liquid onto the medium; and an accommodating unit that accommodates a waste liquid container configured to store waste liquid discharged from the liquid ejecting head, wherein a front surface of the apparatus main body is provided with a front wall and an operable operation unit, which are adjacent to each other in a width direction, and the accommodating unit is located between the front wall and the liquid ejecting head in a depth direction at a position that does not overlap the operation unit in the width direction.
