A dynamic image virtualization system and method configured to utilize an AI model in order to conduct a reduced latency real-time prediction process upon at least one input image, wherein said prediction process is designated to create free-viewpoint 3D extrapolated output dynamic images tailored in advance to the preferences or needs of a user and comprising more visual data than the at least one input image.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OCCLUSION CORRECTION
20230026278 · 2023-01-26 ·

In variants, the method for occlusion correction can include: determining a measurement depicting an occluded object of interest (OOI), optionally infilling the occluded portion of the object of interest within the measurement, and determining an attribute of the object of interest based on the infilled measurement.

AGRICULTURAL MAPPING AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20230230202 · 2023-07-20 ·

A method for generating a 2D orthomosaic map including obtaining a series of images of a field from a camera located on a ground based vehicle, processing the series of images to mark pixels of the ground based vehicle and optionally an implement, identifying, marking, and removing pixels containing plants, stitching together the series of images into a single map, and reintroducing pixels containing plants into the single map.

Systems and methods for image postprocessing via viewport demosaicing
11562464 · 2023-01-24 · ·

An image postprocessor enhances the quality and detail of a rendered image by applying a photosite demosaicing technique directly to the pixels stored in the viewport of the rendered image. The image postprocessor detects a first subset of the viewport pixels having color values that deviate by more than a threshold amount from color values of a neighboring second subset of the viewport pixels. The image postprocessor maps the viewport pixels to a set of emulated photosites based on a position of each pixel in the viewport, and demosaics and/or interpolates the color values associated with a subset of the emulated photosites in order to generate new pixels for the gap. The image postprocessor replaces the first subset of pixels in the viewport with the new pixels, and presents a second visualization based on the modified pixels of the viewport.

Systems and methods for digitized document image data spillage recovery
11704925 · 2023-07-18 · ·

Systems and methods for digitized document image data spillage recovery are provided. One or more memories may be coupled to one or more processors, the one or more memories including instructions operable to be executed by the one or more processors. The one or more processors may be configured to capture an image; process the image through at least a first pass to generate a first contour; remove a preprinted bounding region of the first contour to retain text; generate one or more pixel blobs by applying one or more filters to smudge the text; identify the one or more pixel blobs that straddle one or more boundaries of the first contour; resize the first contour to enclose spillage of the one or more pixel blobs; overlay the text from the image within the resized contour; and apply pixel masking to the resized contour.

Bright spot removal using a neural network

A method for image capture includes identifying a bright spot in an image. A neural network is used to recover details in bright spot area through a trained de-noising process. Post-processing of the image is conducted to match image parameters of recovered details in the bright spot area to another area of the image.

System, Method, and Computer Program Product for Avoiding Ground Blindness in a Vehicle
20230016277 · 2023-01-19 ·

Provided is a method, system, and computer program product for avoiding ground blindness in a vehicle. The method includes capturing, with a detection device, a plurality of frames of three-dimensional data over a time period while the vehicle is approaching a landing zone, the plurality of frames of three-dimensional data representing a region associated with the landing zone, generating a rolling point cloud map for the region by combining, with at least one processor during the time period, a subset of the plurality of frames, determining, with the at least one processor, a ground blindness event occurring in the region during the time period, in response to determining the blindness event occurring in the region, excluding at least one frame from the subset of the plurality of frames used to generate the rolling point cloud map for the region, determining, with at least one processor, position data representing a position of the vehicle based on at least one sensor, and generating, with the at least one processor, an output based on the rolling point cloud map and the position data.

Method for generating an adaptive multiplane image from a single high-resolution image

A method to compute a variable number of image planes, which are selected to better represent the scene while reducing the artifacts on produced novel views. This method analyses the structure of the scene by means of a depth map and selects the position in the Z-axis to split the original image into individual layers. The method also determines the number of layers in an adaptive way.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, PROGRAM, IMAGING APPARATUS, AND IMAGING SYSTEM

This information processing apparatus includes an image processing unit that detects a position of a light source in image data captured by an imaging apparatus and estimates an unnecessary light generation position in the image data on the basis of the detected position of the light source. The image processing unit detects, with respect to a plurality of pieces of image data respectively captured by a plurality of imaging apparatuses having partially common fields of view, positions of light sources and estimates unnecessary light generation positions on the basis of the detected positions of the light sources and combines pieces of image data of common field-of-view portions respectively captured by the plurality of imaging apparatuses and generates image data of the unnecessary light generation position with unnecessary light removed or reduced.
