A display region has a curved surface shape having upper and lower end portions disposed at positions closer to a visual field than a reference plane, and a central portion disposed at a position farther from the visual field than the reference plane. A first convergence angle difference between a convergence angle from the eye position to the upper end portion and a convergence angle from the eye position to a first point on the reference plane through the upper end portion, a second convergence angle difference between a convergence angle to the central portion and a convergence angle to a second point on the reference plane through the central portion, and a third convergence angle difference between a convergence angle to the lower end portion and a convergence angle to a third point on the reference plane through the lower end portion respectively fall within four milliradians.

DRIVING CONTROL DEVICE AND HMI CONTROL DEVICE

An HMI control device, which controls an HMI device mounted on a vehicle. The HMI device presents information to a driver of the vehicle in a recognizable manner. The vehicle is capable of automated driving and travels following a preceding vehicle at a speed equal to or lower than a predetermined speed. The HMI control device is configured to: present attention information for calling attention of the driver when a congestion is determined to be cleared; acquire a behavior of the driver; and end a second task presented on the HMI device at an end timing corresponding to the behavior of the driver acquired after presentation of the attention information.

APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING DISPLAY OF VEHICLE AND METHOD THEREOF

The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for controlling a multi-image display provided in a vehicle, and a method thereof. According to the present disclosure, a multi-image display device may simultaneously output two or more images separated depending on an output angle or an optical frequency, and a first reflection member provided in an indoor ceiling of the vehicle may reflect one image among the two or more images output from the multi-image display device.

Hands-free vehicle sensing and applications as well as supervised driving system using brainwave activity

A device that uses brainwave activity to allow a user to perform hands-free tasks is disclosed. For example, the device can include a transparent display, an electroencephalogram (EEG) sensor, and a processing circuitry coupled to the transparent display and the EEG sensor. The EEG sensor can be configured to sense an EEG signal corresponding to brain activity associated with a user of the device. The processing circuitry can be configured to display a visual stimulus on the transparent display and generate a control signal associated with a task of the user based on the EEG signal. Therefore, the user can use his brainwave activity to perform hands-free tasks.

Display device provided in vehicle and control method of display device

A display device included in a vehicle includes: a communication unit, a display; and a control unit. The communication unit can receive vehicle travel information. The processor can calculate a speed range based on the received vehicle driving information and control the display to display a graphic object representative of the calculated speed range on the display.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A DISPLAY UNIT OF A VEHICLE, AND DISPLAY UNIT

A method for operating a display unit of vehicle, wherein the display unit displays at least one display, comprises ascertaining the viewing direction of a driver using a gaze-tracking device; checking whether the viewing direction of the driver is directed at the display unit; checking whether traffic-relevant data are present; operating the display unit in an energy-saving mode when the view of the driver is not directed at the display unit and/or when no traffic-relevant data is present; and operating the display unit in a display mode when the view of the driver is directed at the display unit and/or when traffic-relevant data is present for display. A display unit is also disclosed.

Modular display assembly for vehicles

A modular display system for a vehicle is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of display units that may be arranged along an exterior of the vehicle in different orientations. The system offers a modular, scalable, accessible, and simplified approach to exterior displays for automated and other types of vehicles. The displays, being modular, are not tied to the specific mounting location on the vehicle's exterior. The image data for each display is rotated based on the orientation of the display as installed which is identified by reference to the distinct pin connections of each display's control port.

Systems and methods for controlling a head-up display (HUD) in a vehicle are disclosed herein. One embodiment deactivates the HUD in response to a command from a driver of the vehicle; assigns a level of urgency to an item of information associated with a current vehicular context; and activates the HUD to display the item of information to the driver, when the level of urgency exceeds a predetermined threshold.

VEHICULAR DISPLAY CONTROL APPARATUS AND VEHICULAR DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD
