Vehicle occupant detection system
An occupant detection system and method may include a user interface and at least one sensor to determine if there is an occupant in the vehicle. In one embodiment, the system and method use capacitive sensing sensors embedded into a cushion and/or back of seats in a vehicle. The capacitive sensor sends a sense signal to a controller and the controller would recognize various conditions such as an empty seat or a seat occupied by a person or animal. It could also determine if there was a child seat in a position on a vehicle seat and if there is a child in the child seat.
VEHICLE CONTROL PANEL WITH PASSENGER DETECTION FOR FUNCTION ENABLEMENT
The invention is an apparatus used for providing control of functions of a vehicle in response to touch commands of an authorized passenger. The functions for which the authorized passenger is provided control are disallowed to the driver when the vehicle is moving. The passenger is authorized with two-factor authentication. The first of the two factors is the fingerprint of the passenger which is enrolled before vehicle movement. The second factor is the location of the passenger. The first factor is used when an occupant attempts to control disallowed functions. The second factor is used when an occupant attempts to enroll a fingerprint. A display panel displays a prompt to enroll a fingerprint before vehicle movement, uses a fingerprint interface to enroll an original fingerprint, and instantaneously captures fingerprints of those attempting to control disallowed functions and compares them to enrolled fingerprints.
Method and apparatus with crosstalk correction
A processor-implemented method with crosstalk correction includes: determining a region in which a crosstalk is to occur based on a three-dimensional (3D) position relationship between a position of eyes of a user and a position of a virtual image of a virtual content object; generating a concealer image for correcting the region in which the crosstalk is to occur based on the determined region and the virtual content object; and correcting the crosstalk by combining the virtual content object and the generated concealer image.
Object notification systems for identifying and notifying vehicles of relevant objects
A method includes capturing object data using a data capture device of a vehicle, determining that the captured object data includes a relevant object based on a user profile associated with an occupant of the vehicle, and executing a notification at the vehicle indicating a presence of the relevant object in response to determining that the captured object data includes the relevant object.
IMAGE DISPLAY MODULE
A three-dimensional (3D) projector includes a 3D display device and a camera. The 3D display device includes a backlight, a display including a display surface, a barrier, and a controller. The camera has an imaging direction that may be a direction of the image light emitted from the display or may be different from the direction of the image light. With the imaging direction of the camera being different from the direction of the image light, the controller performs a process to correct distortion on a captured image output from the camera with reference to the direction of the image light.
Multifunction adaptive steering wheel control
A vehicle system comprising a steering wheel that includes: i) a hub adapted to be mounted on a steering column of the vehicle system; ii) a steering wheel rim coupled to the hub; and iii) a first control movably coupled to the hub. The first control moves from a first position proximate a first location on the steering wheel rim to a second position proximate a second location on the steering wheel rim. This maintains the first control in proximity to a first hand of a driver as the first hand moves from the first location to the second location on the steering wheel rim. The vehicle system further comprises a control module configured to move the first control from the first position to the second position.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR APPLYING ENTRAINMENT AND BIOFEEDBACK TECHNIQUES TO A USER
Embodiments generally relate to a system and a machine-readable medium for providing an entrainment experience to a user. The system comprising an experience system in communication with one or more human sensory inputs and an entraining rhythm generation unit. The experience system configured to receive entraining rhythm information from the entraining rhythm generation unit, determine the entrainment experience based on the entraining rhythm information, and provide the entrainment experience to the user via the one or more human sensory inputs.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND VEHICLE INCLUDING THE DISPLAY DEVICE
A display panel with a first panel side and a second panel side is included in a display device. The display panel displays at least one graphic display object. The display panel includes a first layer which is a pixel matrix and a second layer which includes a plurality of predetermined primary subareas. The display device includes control circuitry to enable the displaying of the graphic display object based on a predefined display alignment in one of a first orientation and a second orientation. The control circuitry adjusts a respective light transmission to a predetermined individual degree for each of the predetermined primary subareas independent of each other based on a physical environment condition.
DYNAMICALLY ADJUSTABLE DISPLAY SYSTEM AND METHODS OF DYNAMICALLY ADJUSTING A DISPLAY
Dynamically adjustable display systems for adjusting the position of a flexible display in response to ambient light. The display system includes a flexible display that is capable of reversibly bending along one or more bending axes. The display system further includes an adjustable support on which the flexible display is mounted, the adjustable support being able to selectively bend the flexible display. The display system includes photodetectors for detecting ambient light. The photodetectors may be positioned about a perimeter of the flexible display. A control unit in communication with the adjustable support and the plurality of photodetectors may cause the adjustable support to bend the flexible display in response to ambient light detected at the plurality of photodetectors.
User interface system for vehicle and method therefor
A user interface system includes: an input device that receives an input of a user in a vehicle; a display that displays information in the vehicle; and a processor that determines whether to support a personal indication and a personal input for the user when receiving a request to enter personal information of the user, and supports to enter the personal information using the input device and the display as a result of the determination.
