Co-forged golf club head and method of manufacture
A co-forged iron type golf club is disclosed. More specifically, the present invention discloses a co-forged iron type golf club with the body portion made out of a first material and at least one weight adjustment portion monolithically encased within the body portion of the co-forged iron type golf club head without the need for secondary attachment or machining operations. The present invention creates of an iron type golf club head from a pre-form billet that already contains two or more materials before the actual forging process resulting in a multi-material golf club head that doesn't require any post manufacturing operations such as machining, welding, swaging, gluing, and the like.
Adjustable sole weight of a golf club head
A golf club head includes a body having a heel portion, a toe portion, a sole portion, and an outer surface, a strikeface having a geometric center, a head center of gravity, and a weight member including a weight pad. The weight member is configured to be repositionable by the user to a first position or a second position. The club head having the weight member in the first position shifts the head center of gravity toward the strikeface, and the club head having the weight member in the second position shifts the head center of gravity away from the strikeface.
GOLF CLUB HEAD
An iron-type golf club head that includes a rear wall having a variable thickness region. The variable thickness region includes a plurality of recesses formed in an interior surface of the rear wall. A thickness of the rear wall, defined by the recesses, is less than the thickness of the rear wall between the recesses. A body of the golf club head includes a face opening, a toe port, and an internal-weight cavity. The golf club head also includes a strike plate, attached to the body so that the strike plate covers the face opening, and an internal weight, seated in the internal-weight cavity. An internal cavity of the golf club head is configured to receive the filler material through the toe port. A ratio of a minimum rear wall thickness to a minimum face thickness is between 0.15 to 0.65.
Hosel insert for a golf club head
Various embodiments of a golf club head comprising a body having a strike face, a heel portion, and a toe portion, a hosel having a body with a first end, extending from the heel portion of the body of the club head, and a second end, configured to receive a shaft, a cavity positioned adjacent to the body of the hosel, and an insert configured to be secured within the cavity are described herein.
Golf club head or other ball striking device with weighted body member
A ball striking device, such as a golf club, includes a head that includes a face having a ball striking surface configured for striking a ball and a body connected to the face and extending rearward from the face. A face member formed primarily of a metallic material forms the face, and a body member is connected to the face member and extends rearward from the face member to form at least a portion of the body. The body member is formed at least partially of a polymer material, and has a doped portion containing a doping material dispersed within the polymer material. The doping material may have a different density than the polymer material, such that the doped portion has a different density than the portions of the body member not containing the doping material. A co-molding method may be used to form the ball striking device.
Golf chipping game
A golf chipping game includes a target that is positioned on a horizontal support surface such as ground or the like. The target has a plurality of apertures therein for receiving a golf ball and the target slopes upwardly from the horizontal support surface. A mat is positioned on the horizontal support surface and a user stands on the mat. The mat has a plurality of tee apertures therein for receiving a golf tee thereby facilitating a golf ball to be struck from the golf tee towards the target. Additionally, the mat is spaced a selected distance from the target corresponding to a desired level of difficulty. A plurality of golf clubs is included and a plurality of golf balls is included. Each of the golf balls is struck toward the target for passing the golf balls through the apertures in the target.
IRON TYPE GOLF CLUB HEAD
A head includes a face surface, a back surface, and a top blade. The back surface includes a top-side region and a sole-side region. The top-side region includes a toe recess part located on a toe side relative to a face center, a heel recess part located on a heel side relative to the face center, and a first thick portion extending along the top blade and located on an upper side relative to the toe recess part and the heel recess part. In a reference state in which the head is placed on a horizontal plane, an angle between a lower edge of the first thick portion and the horizontal plane is denoted by 1, and an angle between the top blade and the horizontal plane is denoted by 2. The angle 1 is smaller than the angle 2.
Weighted iron set
The present invention is direct to a set of golf clubs comprising long irons, mid-irons and short irons. The invention contemplates the use of titanium or steel for the main body portion and significant tungsten weight members coupled to at least the toe and a heel weight member coupled in a hosel cavity.
GOLF CLUB HAVING AN ELASTOMER ELEMENT FOR BALL SPEED CONTROL
A golf club head including a club head body including a back portion, a striking face, and an interior cavity formed between the back portion and the striking face, wherein the striking face comprises a front surface configured to strike a golf ball and a rear surface opposite the front surface, a deformable element residing between the back portion and the rear surface of the striking face, wherein the deformable element comprises a front surface in contact with the rear surface of the striking face, wherein an aperture is formed through the back portion; and an adjustment driver residing within the aperture, the adjustment driver including a recess adjacent the interior cavity, wherein the deformable element resides within the recess, wherein the back portion comprises a shelf surrounding the aperture, wherein the adjustment drive comprises a flange, the flange in contact with the shelf.
GOLF CLUB ALTERNATIVE FITTING SYSTEM
The invention is an alternative fitting system for golf clubs including a adapted production head with a threaded hosel and a shaft sleeve adapter and a compression nut. The shaft sleeve adapter is permanently adhered to a golf club shaft. The compression nut holds together the shaft sleeve adapter and the threaded hosel of the club head. Alignment notches on the threaded hosel and alignment features on the shaft sleeve adapter prevent unwanted rotation. Furthermore, some embodiments of the shaft sleeve adapter comprise an angled bore hole, which allows for various loft and lie configurations.
