INTELLIGENT TUTORIAL FOR GESTURES
Systems and methods are provided for training a plurality of users of a vehicle to use gestures as a short-cut for controlling vehicle functions. The methods monitor a plurality of tasks related to controlling vehicle functions completed by a unique user. For each task, the method may determine whether the task has been completed by the unique user either using a predefined gesture associated with the task, or manually, without using the predefined gesture associated with the task. For each task, the method designates the predefined gesture as being either a learned gesture or an un-learned gesture. After a predetermined time period, the method may include determining that a gesture usage history associated with the unique user includes at least one un-learned gesture. User-customized instructions that at least one un-learned gesture is available for use as a short-cut for controlling a vehicle function may be presented to the unique user.
Automated social network interaction system for a vehicle
In various aspects, the present disclosure provides a system and a related non-transitory computer-readable medium for performing operations incorporating social networking functions into a vehicle. The system can include a user identification subsystem that is configured to detect and identify a user. The system can also include an interactive display subsystem that is configured to generate output for display on a vehicle window. The displayed output generally includes social networking content. The social networking content can include “upload content,” “download content,” or both.
AUTOMATED DISPLAY OF "IN CASE OF EMERGENCY" INFORMATION VIA INFOTAINMENT HARDWARE
An automotive emergency information display method includes the following computer-implemented steps. A user is prompted to enter emergency personal information into a user interface within a motor vehicle. The emergency personal information entered by the user into the user interface is received. It is detected that the motor vehicle has been in a collision. In response to the detecting of the collision, the emergency personal information is displayed within the motor vehicle.
Steering apparatus including steering wheel of smart mobility vehicle
A steering apparatus of a smart mobility vehicle includes: a cockpit module disposed in front of a driver seat and a passenger seat within a vehicle; a steering wheel part connected to the cockpit module, and switchable between a position toward the driver seat and a position toward the passenger seat in a longitudinal direction of the cockpit module; and a locking part to fix the steering part according to a preset condition. The cockpit module includes a first flat section disposed in front of the driver seat and a second flat section disposed in front of the passenger seat; and a locking section curved upward to connect the first flat section and the second flat section.
INTERACTIVE DISPLAY BASED ON INTERPRETING DRIVER ACTIONS
Systems and methods for an interactive display based on interpreting driver actions are disclosed. An example disclosed vehicle includes a camera, a microphone, and a vehicle assist unit. The example vehicle assist unit is configured to in response to detecting a request for information regarding a subsystem of the vehicle via at least one of the camera or the microphone, display information about the subsystem at a first level of detail, and in response to detecting a request for more information regarding the subsystem, display information about the subsystem at second level of detail.
IGNITION LOCK
An ignition lock for a motor vehicle includes a locking cylinder, which in the presence of a suitable key can be shifted along a path including a punctual directional change between a driving position and a stationary position. In the driving position the ignition lock allows operation of an engine of the motor vehicle. In the stationary position operation of the engine is blocked. An indicating device is controlled by a switch operable by the locking cylinder at the point of directional change.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY DEVICE
The present application discloses a head-up display device which is mounted on a vehicle. The head-up display device includes a projection device which emits image light onto a reflective surface including a first area, and a second area below the first area. The image light includes first image light representing first information including information about an external factor outside the vehicle, and second image light representing second information about the vehicle itself. The projection device emits the first image light onto the first area and the second image light onto the second area.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE, COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT AND MOTOR VEHICLE
For the operation of a motor vehicle, according to the present disclosure, situation variables are detected using a number of environment sensors, a current driving situation is derived from the number of situation variables using a controller and a number of control inputs used to control the motor vehicle are detected, and a behavior pattern for a specific driver is determined using the controller on the basis of the control inputs, is assigned to the current driving situation, and is stored in a memory unit of the controller. Should it be concluded on the basis of the situation variables that the view is limited, the lack of certainty of the behavior pattern determined for the current driving situation is compared with that of a behavior pattern for the same driver determined for a driving situation with an unrestricted view, and the use of a system to improve the view is recommended to the driver if a lack of certainty on the part of the driver is identified on the basis of the comparison.
SITUATION AWARENESS IN A VEHICLE
An interaction system for a vehicle includes a human machine interface controller coupled to a plurality of interface components that communicate information to a driver of the vehicle. The interaction system also includes a situational awareness module coupled to the human machine interface controller. The situational awareness module is configured to monitor driver and vehicle conditions, generate a comprehensive driving conditions status, and communicate the comprehensive driving conditions status to the human machine interface controller using a specified protocol.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ASSISTING A DRIVER OF A VEHICLE
A method for assisting a driver in activating an automatic driving mode of a vehicle involves determining the conditions required for an autonomous driving mode and determining a condition not fulfilled in the current driving state which blocks an activation of the autonomous driving mode. An object in the vehicle environment that is in context with an unfulfilled condition is also determined. The object in context with the unfulfilled condition is identified in a representation of the vehicle environment or by projection onto a windscreen, such that a driving maneuver required for enabling an autonomous driving operation is conveyed.
