PIVOTING CENTER DISPLAY FOR MINIMIZING AIRBAG INTERACTION
A system and method for deploying an airbag includes an instrument panel and an airbag assembly disposed within the instrument panel. The airbag assembly includes the airbag and a door disposed within the instrument panel. A center display screen is pivotally disposed relative to the instrument panel. The airbag assembly includes a first state wherein the door is closed and the airbag is folded and a transitional state wherein the door is opened, a least a portion of the airbag is unfolded and contacts the display to rotate the center display screen relative to the instrument panel.
Head-up display device
A head-up display device includes a casing provided inside an instrument panel. The casing includes an upper case constituting an upper part of the casing and provided with a fragile portion that is configured to be broken when an impact load is input to the casing from an upper side in a vehicle up-down direction, and a lower case constituting a lower part of the casing, provided with a light source unit configured to emit image information, and having a rigidity higher than that of the upper case.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SOLAR CELL ARRANGEMENT ON THE DASHBOARD OF A VEHICLE
Vehicles having a plurality of solar cells arranged on a dashboard of the vehicle. The solar cells are arranged at an acute angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the dashboard, and may have an arcuate shape along the longitudinal axis of the dashboard. The solar cells may have an irregular octagon shape and may be more flexible along one axis of symmetry relative to the other axis of symmetry.
System and method for a vehicle zone-determined reconfigurable display
Methods and systems for a heads-up configurable vehicle dash display are provided. Specifically, a configurable dash may comprise one or more displays that are capable of receiving input from a user. At least one of these displays may be configured to present a plurality of custom applications that, when manipulated by at least one user, are adapted to control and/or monitor functions associated with a vehicle and/or associated peripheral devices. It is anticipated that the function and appearance of the plurality of custom applications may be altered via user and/or processor input.
Securely Fixable Vehiclular Display Mounting System
Novel multi-fastener fixable joint adjustments provide secure and watertight mounting to a vehicle while providing secure frictional adjustment relative to the mount base and sandwiching gimbal mount devices with braces of substantial design to provide additional stability.
COLD FORMING OF COMPLEXLY CURVED GLASS ARTICLES
Embodiments of this disclosure pertain to a vehicle interior system comprising a base having a base surface; and a glass article coupled to the surface, wherein the glass article comprises a first portion comprising a first elastically deformed surface forming a first concave shape with a first radius of curvature from about 20 mm to about 2000 mm, and a second elastically deformed surface directly opposite the first elastically deformed surface that forms a second convex shape, wherein the second elastically deformed surface has a surface compressive stress that is less than a compressive stress at the first elastically deformed surface, and a second portion adjacent the first portion, wherein the second portion is substantially planar portion or curved.
Electrical connector structure adapted for vehicle cigarette lighter device
An electrical connector structure adapted for a cigarette lighter device in a vehicle, which is compatible with a conventional vehicle cigarette lighter plug or socket, includes: a female connector having an external thread for at an inlet outer diameter of the female connector; and a male connector having a flange and an internally threaded locking cap; wherein the male connector is configured to be inserted into the female connector such that: the flange of the plug contacts an inlet end of the female connector; the internal thread of the locking cap is screwed onto the external thread of the female connector; and the male and female connectors are securely coupled mechanically while achieving an electrical connection therebetween.
VEHICLE DASHBOARD ASSEMBLY
A vehicle dashboard assembly includes a dashboard panel, a display support, a display and a display cover. The dashboard panel has a display receiving space. The display support is coupled to the dashboard panel. The display is removably and reinstallably attached to the display support. The display cover is movably coupled relative to the dashboard panel between a closed position and an open position. The display cover includes a first cover portion for covering a front side of the display and a second cover portion for covering one edge of the display. The first cover portion surrounds a screen of the display while in the closed position to define a display opening for viewing the screen. The first and second cover portions are movable as a unit between the closed and open positions.
Switch System
Generally, a switch system for a vehicle including one or more switches electrically coupled to an electrical power distribution module each switch operable to corresponding activate or deactivate one or more accessory devices. In particular, a retrofit switch system including a switch assembly configured to insert within fascia panel pocket of a fascia panel within a vehicle and having one or more switches electrically coupled to an electrical power distribution module each switch operable to corresponding activate or deactivate one or more accessory devices.
DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A display system for a vehicle may include a display having a screen configured to display an image, and a mounting mechanism coupled to a rear surface of the display. The mounting mechanism may include an actuator pivotally coupled to the rear surface of the display at a first point and configured to extend and retract relative to an interior surface of the vehicle. The mounting mechanism may also include a link having a first end pivotally coupled to the rear surface of the display at a second point spaced from the first point, and a second end configured to be pivotally coupled to the vehicle, the first and second points defining an axis. The mounting mechanism may be configured to reorient the display between a first orientation and a second orientation, such that the axis defined by the first and second points pivots relative to the interior surface of the vehicle.
