DROP-ON-DEMAND CARD PRINTER WITH INK TRAY
A drop-on-demand plastic card printer includes a tray disposed underneath the plastic card during drop-on-demand printing to catch any overspray that may occur during printing on the plastic card. The tray may be disposable so that the tray is intended to be removed and disposed of. An ink absorbent pad can be disposed in the tray to absorb the oversprayed ink. The ink absorbent pad can be disposed of along with the tray or disposed of separately from the tray.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A printer includes a line head and a waste liquid tank. The line head is configured to move in an A direction having a component of a horizontal direction and a component of an apparatus height direction and is configured to eject a liquid onto a sheet to make a record. The liquid ejected from the line head is collected in the waste liquid tank. The waste liquid tank is located below the line head in the Z direction. When viewed in the Z direction from top to bottom, a movement area of the line head and a portion of the waste liquid tank overlap each other over a range defined in the Y direction.
Liquid ejecting apparatus and maintenance method for liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes: a liquid ejecting portion configured to eject a liquid from a nozzle disposed in a nozzle surface; a wiping mechanism configured to execute a wiping operation of wiping the nozzle surface with a strip-shaped member, which is configured to absorb the liquid ejected by the liquid ejecting portion, in contact with the nozzle surface; a wiping solution supply mechanism configured to supply a wiping solution to the strip-shaped member before the wiping operation is performed; and a control portion, and the control portion reduces the amount of the wiping solution held in the strip-shaped member in the wiping operation when the nozzle surface with a large amount of the liquid adhering thereto is wiped as compared with the amount of the wiping solution when the nozzle surface with a small amount of the liquid adhering thereto is wiped.
Storage device and liquid ejection apparatus
Provided is a storage device including a container that includes an accommodation chamber accommodating fluid or powder, a flexible film that is bonded to the container and covers an opening portion of the accommodation chamber, and a tank holder to which the container having the film bonded thereto is fixed by a screw, in which the screw penetrates the film and fixes the container to the tank holder, and a part of a bonded portion between the film and the container surrounds a portion of the film through which the screw penetrates.
Liquid ejecting apparatus, method for controlling liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head configured to eject liquid from a nozzle onto a medium to perform printing, a liquid accommodating unit configured to receive, via an opening, the liquid ejected by empty discharging that ejects the liquid from the liquid ejecting head separately from the printing, a cover movable to a closed position where the opening of the liquid accommodating unit is covered and an open position where the opening is opened, and a detection unit configured to detect the cover positioned at the closed position or the open position.
WASTE LIQUID COLLECTION DEVICE AND LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS
A waste liquid collection device includes: a tank housing that stores a liquid; a tubular member that causes the liquid to flow into the tank housing; a distance holding device disposed at an end portion of the tubular member suspended in an internal space of the tank housing; and a buoyancy imparting device having buoyancy for the liquid and causes the distance holding device to float on a liquid surface of the liquid, while keeping a certain distance between the end portion of the tubular member and the liquid surface using the buoyancy of the buoyancy imparting device. A liquid discharge apparatus includes the waste liquid collection device.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes: an apparatus main body having a recording unit that performs recording onto a recording medium; and a unit body which is provided on an upper side of the apparatus main body, and forms a plurality of boundaries between the unit body and a top of the apparatus main body, wherein a recess that receives liquid entering through a gap is formed for each of the plurality of boundaries.
PRINTING APPARATUS
In a printing apparatus, a platen configured to support a sheet to be printed includes an ink receiver configured to receive ink discharged from a print head. The ink receiver includes a plurality of first ink grooves and a plurality of second ink grooves configured to guide the received ink, the second ink grooves having a tilt angle greater than that of the first ink grooves. The platen includes an absorber configured to absorb the ink received by the ink receiver, the absorber being arranged on a back side of the ink receiver.
WASTE LIQUID COLLECTION APPARATUS AND INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS PROVIDED WITH SAME
A waste liquid collection apparatus includes a waste liquid tray, a collection tank, a collection pump, and a circulation pump. The waste liquid tray includes a waste liquid receiving surface inclined downward to receive a waste liquid discharged from a head unit and allow the waste liquid to flow from an upper end to a lower end of the waste liquid receiving surface, and a waste liquid discharge part that is disposed adjacent to the lower end of the waste liquid receiving surface to discharge the waste liquid. The collection pump feeds a part of the waste liquid discharged from the waste liquid discharge part to the collection tank. The circulation pump returns another part of the waste liquid discharged from the waste liquid discharge part to the upper end of the waste liquid receiving surface to circulate the other part of the waste liquid.
Printing apparatus and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium for printing apparatus
A printing apparatus is provided with a print head having at least a first type nozzles and a second type nozzles positioned on a first direction side with respect to the first type of nozzles and a controller. The controller is configured to perform a first ejection control with performing a main scanning. The first ejection control includes a control of performing flushing when the print head is in a first state where the second type of nozzles are located at a position corresponding to an ink receiver and the first type of nozzles are located at a position corresponding to the medium range, and a control of causing the first type nozzles to eject the ink toward the printing medium during a period where the ink is ejected from the second type of nozzles toward the ink receiver when the print head is in the first state.
