A method for projecting display information in the field of view of a user (1) of a vehicle (80) is also described.
Image display device and method of correcting image data
A liquid crystal display device which is an image display device for displaying a stereoscopic image includes two correction tables (a nighttime correction table and a daytime correction table) storing correction values corresponding to combinations of a gradation value of a processing target pixel and a gradation value of an adjacent pixel, a correction table selection unit configured to select one of the two correction tables depending on conditions, and gradation value correction units (a right-image gradation value correction unit and a left-image gradation value correction unit) configured to correct the gradation value of the processing target pixel based on the correction table selected by the correction table selection unit.
MULTI-PERSPECTIVE THREE-DIMENSIONAL FLOATING IMAGE DISPLAY WITH POLARIZATION MULTIPLEXING
A system for generating an image for passengers in a vehicle includes a display adapted to project an image, a polarization rotator actuatable to rotate the polarization of an image to one of S-polarization and P-polarization, a reflector unit adapted to reflect S-polarized images to a first beam splitter, and to reflect P-polarized images to a second beam splitter, each of the first and second beam splitters adapted to receive an image and to reflect the image to an associated passenger, and a controller in communication with the display and the polarization rotator, the controller adapted to simultaneously actuate the display to alternate between projecting a first image and a second image, actuate the polarization rotator to alternate between rotating the polarization of an image to S-polarization and P-polarization, and synchronize the display and the polarization rotator.
VIRTUAL STEERING WHEEL WITH AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
According to one embodiment, a method, computer system, and computer program product for manual driving of an autonomous vehicle via a virtual steering wheel. The embodiment may include identifying a user request to manually drive an autonomous vehicle. In response to determining that driving credentials of the user are validated, the embodiment may include displaying a virtual steering wheel to the user within the autonomous vehicle. The embodiment may include providing haptic feedback to the user in response to hand-based interaction with the displayed virtual steering wheel. The embodiment may include enabling manual drive of the autonomous vehicle by the user via the displayed virtual steering wheel.
Vehicle information display assembly, system and method
A mirror and information image display assembly (300) for a vehicle, a holographic information image display system (300, 106, 104), a vehicle (100) comprising such an assembly, and a method of providing image information to an occupant of a vehicle are disclosed. The assembly has a reflective layer (302) and an image display means (304, 306), for displaying image information to an occupant of the vehicle. The image display means comprises a hologram (304), and a lighting means comprising a light source (306) for illuminating the hologram.
UTILITY VEHICLE
According to one example, a working machine includes a projection arrangement to generate a hologram, wherein the hologram presents a virtual operating element or a virtual display and a movement/position detection arrangement to detect a movement or a position of an operator. The working machine of the example also includes a control unit to control the operation of the working machine based on the detected movement or position of an operator and based on the basis of the hologram generated by the projection arrangement, wherein the projection arrangement is to generate the hologram at different positions or with different content in association with different operating positions to be assumed by an operator on an operator platform or the movement/position detection arrangement is designed to detect the movement or the position of an operator in different operating positions on the operator platform.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY, DISPLAY DEVICE FOR HEAD-UP DISPLAY, AND MOVING BODY
A head-up display includes a first panel, a second panel, and an optical system. The first panel includes first subpixels arranged at a first pitch in a parallax direction, in which direction binocular parallax is provided to user's eyes. The second panel includes second subpixels arranged at a second pitch in the parallax direction. The second panel is placed along the first panel. The second panel is configured to produce, based on an image displayed on the first panel, a parallax image for providing binocular parallax to the user's eyes. The optical system enables the parallax image to be provided in enlarged dimension to the user's eyes. The first pitch and the second pitch are equal to each other.
VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE
A vehicle display device includes a reflection-type hologram disposed inside a windshield of a vehicle, and a projection device including an image display device outputting a display light and a regulating unit configured to regulate a diffusion angle of the display light, and to project the display light having passed through the regulating unit onto the hologram. The hologram outputs the display light projected from the projection device as diffracted light directed to an eye range of the vehicle, and the regulating unit is configured to regulate the diffusion angle of the display light to an upper limit angle or less such that the display light reflected from the windshield is directed in a direction different from the eye range.
VEHICULAR DISPLAY DEVICE
A vehicular display device includes: a reflection-type hologram disposed inside a windshield of a vehicle and including a first surface facing a side of an eye range of the vehicle; and a projection device that projects display light of a P wave toward the first surface. The hologram outputs the display light, which is incident on the first surface from the projection device, as diffracted light directed to the eye range, and has diffraction characteristics of condensing the diffracted light in the eye range. The projection device is disposed such that a part of the display light is reflected toward the eye range when an incident angle of the display light on the windshield is within a predetermined angle range.
VEHICULAR DISPLAY DEVICE
A vehicular display device includes a reflection-type hologram disposed inside a windshield of a vehicle and a projection device that projects display light toward the hologram. The hologram outputs the display light from the projection device as diffracted light that travels toward the eye range of the vehicle. The projection device is arranged such that display light reflected off the windshield travels in a direction different, from the direction toward the eye range in a vehicle width direction.
