Scanning analyzer for single molecule detection and methods of use
The invention encompasses analyzers and analyzer systems that include a single molecule analyzer, methods of using the analyzer and analyzer systems to analyze samples, either for single molecules or for molecular complexes. The single molecule uses electromagnetic radiation that is translated through the sample to detect the presence or absence of a single molecule. The single molecule analyzer provided herein is useful for diagnostics because the analyzer detects single molecules with zero carryover between samples.
IMAGE DISPLAY METHOD, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An image display method includes the following operations (a) to (e). The (a) is of obtaining a plurality of two-dimensional images by two-dimensionally imaging a specimen, in which a plurality of objects to be observed are present three-dimensionally in the specimen, at a plurality of mutually different focus positions. The (b) is of obtaining image data representing a three-dimensional shape of the specimen. The (c) is of obtaining a three-dimensional image of the specimen based on the image data. The (d) is of obtaining the two-dimensional image selected from the plurality of two-dimensional images or a two-dimensional image generated to be focused on the plurality of objects based on the plurality of two-dimensional images as an integration two-dimensional image. The (e) is of integrating the integration two-dimensional image obtained in the (d) with the three-dimensional image obtained in the (c) and displaying an integrated image on a display unit.
METHOD FOR MEASURING CONCENTRATION OF MICRO/NANO PARTICLE
A method for measuring the concentration of a micro/nano particle, including: allowing the to-be-measured micro/nano particle to bind with one or more kinds of marker to form a new particle, the new particle having a change in at least one of particle size, charge state, and particle morphology compared with the to-be-measured micro/nano particle or the marker; measuring the particle size, charge state, or particle morphology of the new particle and the to-be-measured micro/nano particle or the marker, and counting the new particle and the to-be-measured micro/nano particle or the marker respectively to obtain their respective count results, and, on the basis of the count results, calculating the concentration of the to-be-measured micro/nano particle bound with the marker. The method of the present application has the advantages of high measurement accuracy, low measurement limit, and stability of chemical reagents.
OBSERVATION DEVICE
An observation device includes an illumination optical system and an observation optical system. The illumination optical system includes a light source and an aperture member. The observation optical system includes an objective lens, an optical structure, and a detector. The optical structure is disposed at a first position which is the position conjugate with the aperture member. The optical structure includes a blocking portion that blocks light and a transmitting portion that transmits light, the blocking portion having a shape including the shape of an image of an aperture of the aperture member which is formed on the optical structure. The detector detects dark-field light passing through the optical structure.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CELL OR MICROVESICLE ISOLATION
Disclosed are a microfluidic system and method for isolating target cells or vesicles in a fluid. The system of the present invention comprises a fluid passageway having an inlet and an outlet; one or more ultra-high frequency acoustic resonator capable of generating bulk acoustic waves in the fluid passageway at a frequency of about 0.5-50 GHz; a power regulator which adjusts the power of the bulk acoustic waves generated by the ultra-high frequency resonator; and a flow rate regulating device that regulates the velocity of the solution flowing through the bulk acoustic wave region. Adjusting the power of the generated bulk acoustic waves by means of the power regulator and/or adjusting the velocity of the solution flowing through the bulk acoustic wave region by means of the flow rate regulating device allow cells or vesicles to stay in a bulk acoustic wave-affected region. The system and method of the present invention can capture and release cells or vesicles in a solution, and further process and analyze the obtained cells or vesicles.
Airborne particle monitoring system with illumination and imaging
An airborne biological particle monitoring device collects particles floating in air. The monitoring device includes a processor, a camera sensor, and a set of approximately monochromatic illumination sources that correspond to a set of spectral curves. The camera sensor captures images of the particles providing a spectral analysis of the particles. The processor analyzes the images to identify the collected particles.
Label selection support system, label selection support device, method of supporting label selection, and program for supporting label selection
There is provided a technology that supports selection of a label to be used for analysis of target molecules. The present technology provides a label selection support system including an information acquisition unit that obtains, via a network, information associated with a plurality of target molecules to be analyzed, an information processor that obtains, using the information associated with a plurality of target molecules, in vivo expression information of the plurality of target molecules from a database storing in vivo expression information of target molecules and generates support information associated with assignment of a label to each of the plurality of target molecules on the basis of the expression information, and a transmitter that transmits the generated support information via the network.
Measuring mechanical properties of rock cuttings
A system for measuring mechanical properties of rock cuttings includes a vibration platform with an upper surface configured to vibrate a plurality of rock cuttings thereon. A sensor system is operatively connected to the vibration platform to monitor the rock cuttings vibrating on the upper surface of the vibration platform. A calculation module is operatively connected to the vibration platform and the sensor system to calculate mechanical properties of the rock cuttings based on applied vibrational force frequency of the vibration platform and measurements of the rock cuttings from the sensor system.
Apparatus and methods for rapid detection of acute phase reactants and white blood cells
The present invention provides diagnostic devices and methods for quantifying the amounts of an acute phase reactant (e.g., C-reactive protein (CRP) or serum amyloid A (SAA)) in a body fluid sample and/or white blood cell counts in blood sample. In particular, the present invention provides a rapid assay to detect CRP, SAA, and/or white blood cells in blood with high sensitivity and specificity.
Particle analysis using light microscope and multi-pixel polarization filter
Techniques in connection with the use of a multi-pixel polarization filter in the light-microscopic examination of a sample object are described. In this way e.g. a particle analysis can be carried out, e.g. in particular for determining the technical cleanness of a surface of the sample object.
