A steering column assembly module having an operating device for setting an operating parameter of a motor vehicle comprises a static central element that annularly surrounds a steering axis, and a recess, and has an elongated rotary element with a longitudinal axis, and comprises a grip section, and a bearing section that is fixedly connected to the grip section. In this context, the bearing section of the rotary element is disposed in the recess of the central element at least sectionally, and is mounted in the central element rotatably about the longitudinal axis, wherein a rotation sensor is configured to detect a rotational position of the rotary element, and in dependence upon the detected rotational position, to generate a control signal for setting the operating parameter.

A system and method for remote execution of applications for a connected vehicle infotainment system (CVIS). The method comprises establishing a network connection between the CVIS and a cloud server hosted in a cloud computing platform, sending a remote execution request for at least one application, wherein the at least one application is executed by the cloud server, receiving execution results from the at least one application cloud server, and rendering the execution results on the CVIS while allowing interoperability with applications executed over at least one other computing environment included in the vehicle.

A method for vehicle eye tracking is described. The method includes capturing sensor data based on eye tracking of a vehicle operator. The method also includes identifying sensor data associated with an external environment of a vehicle within the captured sensor data. The method further includes filtering out a sensor data associated with the external environment from the captured sensor data to provide an internal vehicle sensor data. The integrated control apparatus includes a one-hand operation device that a user holds and operates with one hand a two-hand operation device that a user holds and operates with both hand. In the one-hand operation device, a deadman switch is disposed on the front of a grip of the housing under an acceleration trigger switch. The method includes receiving a remote execution request for at least one application from a CVIS; executing the at least one application to output execution results; and causing rendering of the execution results on the CVIS while allowing interoperability with applications executed over at least one other environment included in a vehicle.

The invention relates to an arrangement (I) of a palm rest (IO) and a manually actuatable operating element (20) for a vehicle. The palm rest (IO) is designed to adopt a first and a second position relative to the operating element (20), the palm rest (IO) being positioned, in the first position, such that it enables a hand (2) to be supported while the operating element (20) is being operated. To protect against damage and to enable the vehicle interior to be better used, the palm rest (IO) is positioned, in the second position, such that the palm rest (IO) at least partially projects over and/or covers the operating element (20).
