A face insert for a golf club head, preferably a putter head, is disclosed herein. The face insert comprises a pair of stacked plates, each with a plurality of hinge features. The hinge features of the lower plate extend through openings in the upper plate so that the plates are locked together, and the edge surfaces of the hinge features combine to create a striking surface that increases topspin of a golf ball.

A shaft for a putter includes decorative sheaths that may beautify the shaft while retaining lightweight stiffness and avoiding breaking the sheaths.

Provided is an adjustable custom grip and method of forming the same are provided. The method of forming a customized putter grip includes orienting a first grip member having a first contact surface and a second grip member having a second contact surface of the customized putter grip in a predetermined orientation selected from a set of angles between the first contact surface and the second contact surface. The method may also include fixing the first grip member and the second grip member in the predetermined orientation. The method may further include coupling the customized putter grip with fixed first grip member and second grip member to a shaft of a putter. The custom grip provides for an anatomically, ergonomically custom putter grip to accommodate variations in human hands and other anatomical parts that affect the holding of a golf club grip.

A putter head for a freestanding golf putter includes: a cylindrical leading portion including a heel end, a toe end, an axis that extends through a center of the heel end and a center of the toe end in a first direction, and a rounded exterior surface that extends from the heel end to the toe end, the rounded exterior surface including a front face and a rear face; and a trailing portion including: a center arm that extends rearwardly from a center portion of the rear face in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction; a heel arm that extends rearwardly and inwardly towards the center arm from a first lateral portion of the rear face; and a toe arm that extends rearwardly and inwardly towards the center arm from a second lateral portion of the rear face.

An adjustable custom grip and method of forming the same are provided. A device for holding a golf ball position marker comprising a front face and an attachment portion disposed behind the front face. The front face comprises a permanent magnet that may removably retain a ferrous metal golf ball position marker to the front face. The front face comprises a circumferential lip about at least a portion of a circumference of the front face and may further comprise a recessed portion to aid with removability of the golf ball position marker from the front face. The attachment portion is configured to removably attach to a golf putter shaft.

Provided is a golf putter head, which includes a head body; and a hitting member provided in front of the head body for hitting a golf ball, and to be freely slidable up and down within a predetermined range with respect to the head body. According to the present invention, when the golf putter hits the golf ball, as spin of the golf ball is smoother, directionality of the golf ball is increased.

Provided is an adjustable putter grip. The adjustable putter grip includes a first grip member coupled adjacent a first end of a putter shaft. A putter head is coupled to a second end of the putter shaft. The adjustable putter grip also includes a second grip member coupled to the putter shaft between the first grip member and the second end of the putter shaft. The first grip member and the second grip member are rotatable with respect to each other to adjust grip position, the second grip member is rotatable with respect to the first grip member to adjust grip position, or the first grip member is rotatable with respect to the second grip member to adjust grip position. A method of forming a custom grip or custom fitting of a golfer is also disclosed.

Provided is an adjustable putter grip. The adjustable putter grip includes a first grip member coupled adjacent a first end of a putter shaft. A putter head is coupled to a second end of the putter shaft. The adjustable putter grip also includes a second grip member coupled to the putter shaft between the first grip member and the second end of the putter shaft. The first grip member and the second grip member are rotatable with respect to each other to adjust grip position, the second grip member is rotatable with respect to the first grip member to adjust grip position, or the first grip member is rotatable with respect to the second grip member to adjust grip position. A method of forming a custom grip or custom fitting of a golfer is also disclosed.
