Display Control Device and Display Control Method
A drop in visibility of display information is prevented while securing a clear view outside a vehicle. A display information extracting unit is configured to extract a particular portion from display information, which is displayed on a transparent display provided in a vehicle, based on a color-by-color pixel count of the display information. A display information output unit is configured to output to the transparent display the display information in which the particular portion extracted by the display information extracting unit has been changed in luminance.
Backlight for switchable directional display
A switchable backlight for a switchable privacy display apparatus comprises a collimated waveguide and an optical turning film comprising first and second arrays of elongate prismatic elements. High image luminance and image visibility is provided for off-axis viewers in a public mode of operation while in a privacy mode of operation visual security level above a perceived privacy threshold may be achieved for off-axis snoopers.
Display system
This display system includes: a projection device including a phase-modulation-type spatial light modulator element, a light source radiating light to a display part of the element, and a control circuit controlling the element and the light source; and projecting reflection light of the part of the element; and a reflecting mirror reflecting projection light of the device. The control circuit displays, on the part of the element, a first pattern and a second pattern associated with display information having different definition degrees. The reflecting mirror includes a first reflection region causing reflection light of a portion where the first pattern is displayed to enter, and reflecting the light toward a first display region, and a second reflection region causing reflection light of a portion where the second pattern is displayed to enter, and reflecting the light toward a second display region.
Virtual image display device
A virtual image display device includes: an image projection unit that selectively projects a first projection light linearly polarized in a first direction and a second projection light linearly polarized in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction to a windshield; a reflected light measurement unit that measures an intensity of light incident from the windshield into the image projection unit along a light path in which the first projection light and the second projection light are projected; and a determination unit that determine whether a user is wearing polarized sunglasses that shield a component linearly polarized in the first direction, based on a first light intensity measured by the reflected light measurement unit when the first projection light is projected and a second light intensity measured by the reflected light measurement unit when the second projection light is projected.
Light guide device
A light guide device that performs uniform brightness transmitted light illumination regardless of a distance from an incident portion is provided. Light that is emitted from a light source, and enters from an incident portion of a light guide member (light guide body) made of a translucent member formed along an outer edge portion of a decorated portion, travels in the light guide portion while repeating total reflection by an inner surface of the light guide member. In the light-guiding portion, the light is guided in the decorated portion made of a translucent member from the inside of the light guide member, and is emitted outside by being scattered by the inside of the decorated portion, and in the non-light-guiding portion, the light that travels in the light guide member is prevented from traveling in the decorated portion.
Method, device and computer-readable storage medium with instructions for controlling a display of an augmented-reality head-up display device for a transportation vehicle
A method, a device and a computer-readable storage medium with instructions for controlling a display of an augmented-reality head-up display device for a transportation vehicle. Interfering movements of the transportation vehicle are detected, a graphics generator generates a dynamically-embodied marker for display by the augmented-reality head-up display device, and the generated marker is outputted for display by the augmented-reality head-up display device.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes a liquid crystal panel providing a display surface where an image is displayed, a backlight emitting light to the liquid crystal panel from behind, a real object placed between the liquid crystal panel and the backlight and visible through the liquid crystal panel, and a controller controlling the liquid crystal panel such that a specific pixel region of the display surface behind which the real object is positioned is higher in light transmittance than another pixel region of the display surface.
DISPLAY DEVICE, SHOVEL, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
A display device displays information image related to an excavation work, in an ambient environment image in a view of a work area or an attachment viewed from a shovel, or in a field of view of an operator viewing the work area or the attachment from the shovel. The shovel may include the display device. A management device may include a display apparatus, a communication device which communicates with the shovel, and a remote control device operated by a user to remotely control the shovel via the communication device.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY SYSTEM
A head-up display system includes an image generating apparatus configured to emit light having a first polarization and including image information; a polarization beam splitter provided on an optical path of the light having the first polarization and configured to transmit the light having the first polarization; a wave plate configured to transmit the light transmitted through the polarization beam splitter while changing a phase of the light; and a mirror configured to reflect the light sequentially transmitted through the polarization beam splitter and the wave plate back to the polarization beam splitter through the wave plate. The polarization beam splitter may reflect light having a second polarization that is different from the first polarization and obtained by transmitting the light reflected by the mirror back through the wave plate.
Object detection and display apparatus, moveable body, and object detection and display method
An object detection and display apparatus for mounting in a moveable body includes a far infrared camera (10), a display device (30), and a controller (22) (processor). The controller (22) detects, from a first image outputted by the far infrared camera (10), an image of a display target object at a distance equal to or greater than the distance reached by light from headlights (5) of the moveable body, and causes the display device (30) to display an image element corresponding to the display target object based on the position of the image of the display target object in the first image.
