OPERATING DEVICE, VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A VEHICLE
An operating device includes a first operating element with which a user can select one or numerous main functions of a vehicle and that can rotate about an axis of rotation and has at least one predefined fixed rotational position. A second operating element with which a user can adjust subfunctions of the main function can rotate about the axis of rotation and also comprises an actuator unit that comprises a magnetorheological medium configured to exert a retaining force on the second operating element based on a viscosity of the magnetorheological medium. The actuator unit is configured to set the viscosity on the basis of the main function selected with the first operating element, and on the basis of a rotational position of the second operating element.
Systems and methods to obtain feedback in response to autonomous vehicle failure events
The present disclosure provides systems and methods to obtain feedback descriptive of autonomous vehicle failures. In particular, the systems and methods of the present disclosure can detect that a vehicle failure event occurred at an autonomous vehicle and, in response, provide an interactive user interface that enables a human located within the autonomous vehicle to enter feedback that describes the vehicle failure event. Thus, the systems and methods of the present disclosure can actively prompt and/or enable entry of feedback in response to a particular instance of a vehicle failure event, thereby enabling improved and streamlined collection of information about autonomous vehicle failures.
BUTTON STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE AV SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME
The button structure including a front panel configured to define a body and having a mounting hole formed in a front surface of the front panel directed toward an interior of an occupant compartment, a button unit accommodated in the mounting hole and configured to selectively control various types of AV systems of a vehicle, a detection unit accommodated in the front panel and configured to detect a user's hand, a switch unit configured to operate various types of AV systems of the vehicle under the control of the button unit, and a lighting unit accommodated in a housing and configured to emit light to the button unit in response to a detection signal of the detection unit, in which the detection unit is disposed rearward of the button unit and positioned from the button unit in a direction opposite to the direction toward the interior of the occupant compartment.
MULTI-FUNCTION KEY-OPERATED IGNITION SWITCH FOR OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT FOR SELECTING DIFFERENT OPERATING SPEEDS
A powered device may include an engine, a mobility assembly operably coupled to the engine to provide mobility of the powered device responsive at least in part to operation of the engine, a working assembly operably coupled to the engine to perform a working function responsive at least in part to operation of the engine, and a key-operated combination ignition and speed control assembly including switch circuitry configured to control both starting the engine and selection of different selectable positions corresponding to respective different operating speeds for the engine.
Control of Display Areas
A method for providing content in various display areas of at least one display includes the steps of acquiring a first selection of one of the display areas; acquiring a second selection of an element of a list that is associated with the selected display area; and providing in the selected display area a content that is associated with the selected element.
Transportation Apparatus and Device and Method for the Operation of an Operating-Force-Sensitive Input Device of a Transportation Apparatus
A method includes automatically determining a first user input with a first predefined manipulation force acting on the input device and, in response thereto, performing a first function according to the first manipulation force. The method also includes automatically determining a second user input with a second predefined manipulation force acting on the input device, which second manipulation force is higher than the first manipulation force, and, in response thereto, selecting a first display element from a plurality of display elements displayed on a display unit, by switching an input focus to the first display element.
Dynamic vehicle head unit lockout system
Disclosed is a system for controlling subsystems of a vehicle. The system comprises a control unit, a speedometer or vehicle speed unit, a sensor in communication with the control unit that is configured to detect at least one of a first activation stimulus or a second activation stimulus; and a control panel in communication with the control unit. The control panel displays a plurality of selectable vehicle control options. When the vehicle is moving above a threshold velocity, at least one vehicle control option is disabled for the first activation stimulus and enabled for the second activation stimulus.
OPERATION DEVICE FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
An operation device for an autonomous vehicle includes a touch panel configured to display at least one of a start button and a deceleration button, and a notification button on the same screen. The autonomous vehicle is autonomously drivable. The start button is a button for starting driving of the autonomous vehicle in an autonomous drive mode. The deceleration button is a button for decelerating the autonomous vehicle during the autonomous drive mode. The notification button is a button for performing notification to an outside of the autonomous vehicle.
Parameter adjustment using vehicle touch screen
Methods and systems are provided for adjusting parameters using a vehicle touch screen. In one embodiment, a method includes determining an initial touch position of an external touch operation when the external touch operation is detected. A movement trajectory and final disengagement position of the external touch operation may then be detected. The movement trajectory need not be limited to an area covered by a parameter adjustment control. The parameter adjustment control may then be adjusted to a final parameter value according to the initial touch position, the final disengagement position, and the movement trajectory.
Vehicle and control method of vehicle
In accordance with an aspect of the disclosure, a vehicle includes an air conditioning device. An input device is provided to receive a selection input of a user with respect to a blowing position of the air conditioning device and including a first input area, a second input area and a third input area for outputting an activation mark or a deactivation mark by the selection input, A controller is configured to control output of an activation mark or a deactivation mark of the first input area, the second input area and the third input area.
