The ambient lighting system (3) comprising a capacitive touch sensor (6), the latter being locally integrated in the ambient lighting system (3); and light guide modules (43), interposed between the light sources (41) and said diffusive module (42), and being adapted to guide light rays emitted by the light sources (41) and being designed to isolate the light rays emitted by each light guide module (43), in order to realize sectors (C) adapted to be illuminated with sharp contrast with the rest of the ambient lighting system (3), defining the position of at least one soft button (B), the latter being realized by means of the capacitive touch sensor (6).
DUAL IMAGE PLANE HUD WITH AUTOMATED ILLUMINANCE SETTING FOR AR GRAPHICS DISPLAYED IN FAR VIRTUAL IMAGE PLANE
A projection system includes a projection device and a control module. The projection device is configured to project (i) a first image in a first virtual image plane, and (ii) a second image in a second virtual image plane, wherein the second virtual image plane is further from an eyebox than the first virtual image plane. The control module is configured to: determine an ambient light luminance level; determine a first luminance level for the first virtual image plane based on the ambient light luminance level; determine a second luminance level of the second virtual image plane based on the first luminance level of the first virtual image plane; and control the at least one projection device to display (i) the first image in the first virtual image plane having the first luminance level, and (ii) the second image in the second virtual image plane having the second luminance level.
OVERHEAD CONSOLE ACCESSORY SYSTEM WITH SHARED CONTROLS, CAMERAS, AND LIGHTING
A vehicular accessory system includes an overhead console configured to mount at an interior portion of a vehicle, and an interior rearview mirror assembly having a mirror head mounted via mounting structure at the overhead console. The overhead console includes a base portion configured to attach at the interior portion of the vehicle to mount the overhead console at the interior portion and an extending portion that, with the overhead console mounted at the interior portion of the vehicle, extends from the base portion along and spaced from a headliner of the vehicle. The overhead console includes a light source that, with the overhead console mounted at the interior portion of the vehicle, and when electrically operated to emit light, light emitted by the light source illuminates a surface at the interior portion of the vehicle above the overhead console.
APPARATUS FOR OPERATING DISPLAY TYPE VEHICLE SWITCH AND METHOD THEREOF
A display type vehicle switch operating apparatus includes a receiver that receives driving information related to an external driving situation of a vehicle and display state information of a display of the vehicle, a highlight indication information generator that generates highlight indication information of a symbol displayed on the display based on the received driving information and the received display state information, and a controller that highlights the symbol displayed on the display based on the generated highlight indication information.
CAMERA MONITOR SYSTEM FOR RESPONDING TO AMOUNT OF LIGHT
A camera monitor system for responding to an amount of light includes: a sensor unit configured to measure an amount of external light of a vehicle; a camera unit configured to capture an image of an outside of the vehicle; a display unit comprising a first display layer configured to display the image of the outside, captured by the camera unit, and a second display layer configured to display at least one icon at least partially overlapping the first display layer; and a controller configured to set luminance of the first display layer in response to the amount of external light received from the sensor unit and to change transparency of the icon of the second display layer.
Multifunctional control for a system in a vehicle
A multi-functional control, a control system, and a method of controlling a system in a vehicle. The multi-functional control includes a base plate, a post extending through a slot in the base plate, and at least two stacked knobs, rotatably and tilt-ably attached to the post. The stacked knobs include a display knob and a base knob. The multi-functional control further includes a plurality of sensors. The sensors include a first touch sensor integrated in the display knob, a second touch sensor integrated in the base knob, a first rotary sensor integrated in the display knob, a second rotary sensor integrated in the base knob, a rocker switch connected to the stacked knobs, and a push-button switch connected to the stacked knobs. The multi-functional control also includes a sliding sensor. The post and stacked knobs are mounted to the sliding sensor.
DISPLAY SYSTEM, DEVICE, AND METHOD
An assembly and method for updating a display assembly of a control panel is disclosed with optimal uniform illumination. In some instances, embodiments include efficient and cost effective methods for upgrading display assemblies without having to completely overhaul the electrical, mechanical, or wiring components already existing within the control panel.
INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM, MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION, AND DEVICE FOR OPERATING AN INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM OF A MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION
A mode of transportation, an infotainment system, and a device for operating an infotainment system of a mode of transportation having a finger strip extending in a linear or curved manner for haptically guiding a finger of a user, a detection unit for detecting swipe gestures carried out on the finger strip, an analyzing unit for processing detected swipe gestures, and a linear light outlet extending at least approximately completely along the finger strip. The device acknowledges a user gesture by a light signal emitted from the light outlet in response to a user gesture detected by the detection unit.
Restraint with indicator area
A restraint includes a belt, a connecting structure that is connected to the belt, a buckle housing that includes a connector opening for insertion of the connecting structure, a latch assembly that is configured to retain the connecting structure in the connector opening, and a release button that is connected to the buckle housing and is configured to cause the latch assembly to release the connecting structure when the release button is operated.
