CABLE ROUTING FASTENER
A cable routing fastener includes a body and an optional arm extending therefrom, a head projecting from the body, a cover adjacent the arm so movement of the cover is temporarily restricted by the arm, and a cable connector. The body inserts into an aperture in a panel and positions the head and cable connector adjacent the panel. The head includes an indicia element indicating assembly status of the fastener, i.e., whether it is properly installed or not. The cover conceals the element in a concealed mode, and moves relative to the head to an exposed mode so the indicia element is exposed for reading. The arm moves when the body is inserted so the arm no longer interferes with movement of the cover, so the cover can be moved by a user, transitioning from the concealed mode to the exposed mode. A related method of use is provided.
Label, Device, System and method for sorting bolts
The present invention relates to label, device, system and method for sorting bolts, bars, pins, studs, dowels, screws or the like (collectively and individually described herein as a bolt). The bolts are being characterized by a first and a second dimension. The identification system comprises a color chart defining all ten numerals and most commonly used bolt diameters corresponding to various colors and an identification label. The identification label comprises a main section and at least one other section being both adapted to receive at least one color and/or a numeral. Each combination of a color and a numeral being defined by the color chart. The combination of colors and/or numerals of the main section defines the first dimension of the bolt and the combination of colors and/or numerals of the at least one other section defines the second dimension of the bolt.
MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A BOLTING OPERATION
Provided herein is a monitoring system and method for a bolting operation, during which a torque tool is coupled to a torque sensing and transmitting adapter disposed of with an RFID reader or a middle device to read the information in the RFID tag attached to each bolt following the preset bolting sequence. After receiving the information, a torque control device evaluates whether the bolts are valid and memorizes the bolting sequence, edits and stores in the memory. The torque control device continuously monitors whether the operator does follow the programmed bolting sequence and the bolting mode to fasten the bolt with target torque value and issues a warning if otherwise. Meanwhile, the torque control device writes the bolting information in the tag or stores the information in a peripheral server or in a cloud server via the Internet for later inquiry.
Systems and methods for a connector assembly
A connector assembly is provided. The connector assembly includes a connector body, a movable component selectively movable between an uninstalled state and an installed state, a digital tag, and a digital blocker. When the movable component is moved from the uninstalled state to the installed state, the digital blocker is moved relative to the digital tag from a position where the digital tag is blocked by the digital blocker to a position where the digital tag is unblocked by the digital blocker, thereby providing a digital indication of a successful connection between the connector body and the movable component.
DOOR CLOSER ADJUSTMENT WITH BACKOUT DISCOURAGEMENT
An exemplary door closer includes a body, a regulation screw, and an indicator. The body includes a surface and a cavity extending from the surface into the body, and the cavity includes an internal threading. The regulation screw is mounted in the cavity and includes an external threading engaged with the internal threading. The indicator is engaged with the regulation screw and positioned at least partially within the cavity. The indicator is positioned to project beyond the surface when the regulation screw is withdrawn to a reference position relative to the body.
Cable routing fastener
A cable routing fastener includes a body and an arm extending therefrom, a head projecting from the body, a cover adjacent the arm so movement of the cover is temporarily restricted by the arm, and a cable connector. The body inserts into an aperture in a panel and positions the head and the cable connector adjacent the panel. The head includes an indicia element indicating an assembly status of the fastener, i.e., whether it is properly installed or not. The cover conceals the indicia element in a concealed mode, and moves relative to the head to an exposed mode so the indicia element is exposed for reading. The arm moves when the body is inserted so the arm no longer interferes with movement of the cover, so the cover can be moved by a user, transitioning from the concealed mode to the exposed mode. A related method of use is provided.
Clamping device with force sensing
A clamp device has first and second jaws movable relative to one another for clamping an object therebetween. A clamp sensor operatively connected to one of the jaws generates a clamping signal representative of a clamping force urging the first and second jaws towards one another. A display is arranged to display a value proportional to the clamping signal which is representative of the clamping force between the first and second jaws. A motor for driving movement of the second jaw relative to the first jaw is operated by a controller that responds to operator commands in a manual control mode and/or which automatically drives the motor so as to maintain the clamping signal measured by the clamp sensor within a prescribed threshold range to apply a constant clamping force between the first and second jaws under an automated control mode.
Nut locking device and assembly for mounting same
The invention relates to a locking device (300) comprising: a shaft (24) comprising a first thread (22); and a nut (12) and a ring (13) to be assembled on the shaft; the nut comprising a first inner thread (18) defining a first radial clearance with the first thread of the shaft; the nut further comprising a second inner thread (20) in the opposite direction to the first inner thread, the ring (13) comprising a second thread (40) defining a second radial clearance with the second inner thread of the nut; the ring comprising a third inner thread (38) defining a third radial clearance with the first thread of the shaft. The inner threads and the first and second threads have an identical and constant thread pitch; and each of the second and third radial clearances is greater than the first radial clearance.
Pipe fitting with positive installation indicator
An indicator assembly includes a fastener defining a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and an axis extending from the first end to the second end; a first indicator positioned radially outwardly of the fastener relative to the axis of the fastener; and a second indicator positioned radially outwardly of the fastener relative to the axis of the fastener, wherein the second indicator is axially in between the first indicator and the second end of the fastener upon the fastener being oriented in a first position, and wherein the second indicator is radially inwardly or radially outwardly of the first indicator upon the fastener being oriented in a second position.
