Two image processing systems and an image processing method are provided. One of the image processing systems includes a first unit configured to output a portion of input image data, a second unit configured to transform a coordinate of input image data, and a third unit configured to output the image data processed by the first unit and the second unit as video data to be displayed on a display. The other one of the image processing system further includes a fourth unit configured to combine input image data of a plurality of images to output one piece of image data. The image processing method includes outputting a portion of input image data, transforming a coordinate of input image data, and outputting the image data as video data to be displayed on a display.

Mobile information terminal

When a first user makes a video call with a second user of the other side by using the video call function, a first state is set as a state in which the enclosure is flatly placed on a first surface of an object, and in which a face of the first user is included within a range of an angle of view AV1 of the front camera C1. In the first state, the mobile information terminal 1 detects a first region including the face of the first user from a wide angle image that is captured by the front camera C1, trims a first image corresponding to the first region, creates a transmission image to be transmitted to a terminal of the other side on the basis of the first image, and transmits the transmission image to the terminal of the other side.

An image processing system includes a generating unit and a storing unit. The generating unit determines a subject included in a wide-angle image and generate a partial image including the subject from the wide-angle image. The storing unit stores the partial image in association with the wide-angle image from which the partial image is extracted.

An example method of capturing a 360° field-of-view image includes capturing, with one or more processors, a first portion of a 360° field-of-view using a first camera module and capturing, with the one or more processors, a second portion of the 360° field-of-view using a second camera module. The method further includes determining, with the one or more processors, a target overlap region based on a disparity in a scene captured by the first portion and the second portion and causing, with the one or more processors, the first camera module, the second camera module, or both the first camera module and the second camera module to reposition to a target camera setup based on the target overlap region. The method further includes capturing, with the one or more processors, the 360° field-of-view image with the first camera and the second camera arranged at the target camera setup.

Provided is a real-time omnidirectional stereo matching method in a camera system including a first pair of fisheye cameras including first and second fisheye cameras provided to perform shooting in opposite directions and a second pair of fisheye cameras including third and fourth fisheye cameras provided to perform shooting in opposite directions and in which the first pair of fisheye cameras and the second pair of fisheye cameras are vertically provided, including receiving fisheye images of a subject captured through the first to the fourth fisheye cameras; selecting one fisheye camera from among fisheye cameras for each pixel of a preset reference fisheye image among the fisheye images using a sweep volume for preset distance candidates; generating a distance map for all pixels using the reference fisheye image and a fisheye image of the one fisheye camera; and performing real-time stereo matching on the fisheye images using the distance map.

Display device, computer program, and computer-implemented method

A method for processing an image is provided in which an omnidirectional image is received. The omnidirectional image is displayed on a display. Two panoramic images are generated based on the omnidirectional image by correcting distortion of the omnidirectional image. The two panoramic images are displayed on the display in response to a user input. Both of the two panoramic images are scrolled in response to a user input conducted on one of the two panoramic images displayed on the display.

The disclosed technique facilitates confirmation of a perspective projection image generated from a partial image region corresponding to a predetermined angle of view of a wide-angle image. First, an image obtainment unit obtains an ultrawide-angle image. A region information obtainment unit obtains an optical axis direction and an angle of view of a virtual camera for defining an image for confirmation set for the ultrawide-angle image and obtains predetermined viewing angle information. An image conversion unit converts the obtained ultrawide-angle image into the perspective projection image as the image for confirmation based on the obtained optical axis direction and angle of view of the virtual camera. A region information drawing unit calculates a visual field region based on the viewing angle information on the angle of view of the virtual camera and superimposes and draws a rectangle indicating the calculated visual field region on the perspective projection image.

SMART CAPTURING OF WHITEBOARD CONTENTS FOR REMOTE CONFERENCING

A mechanism is described for facilitating smart capturing of whiteboard contents according to one embodiment. A method of embodiments, as described herein, includes capturing, by one or more cameras of a computing device, one or more images of one or more boards, and identifying a target board of the one or more boards using one or more indicators associated with the target board, where identifying the target board includes extracting a region encompassing the target board. The method may further include estimating scene geometry based on the region, and generating a rectified image of the target board based on the scene geometry.

Disclosed are apparatuses and methods for controlling driving of a vehicle, the method including obtaining a first image captured by a first ultra-wide-angle lens disposed on a first position in a vehicle, obtaining a second image captured by a second ultra-wide-angle lens disposed on a second position in the vehicle, monitoring a state of a driver and an occupant of the vehicle based on the first image and the second image, detecting an object in a blind spot area based on a matching of the first image and the second image, and generating information for control of the vehicle based on a result of the monitoring and a result of the detecting of the object.

Virtual lens simulation for video and photo cropping

In a video capture system, a virtual lens is simulated when applying a crop or zoom effect to an input video. An input video frame is received from the input video that has a first field of view and an input lens distortion caused by a lens used to capture the input video frame. A selection of a sub-frame representing a portion of the input video frame is obtained that has a second field of view smaller than the first field of view. The sub-frame is processed to remap the input lens distortion to a desired lens distortion in the sub-frame. The processed sub-frame is the outputted.
