Automated inspection of autonomous vehicle equipment
An equipment inspection system receives data captured by a sensor of an autonomous vehicle (AV). The captured data describes a current state of equipment for servicing the AV. The equipment inspection system compares the captured data to a model describing an expected state of the equipment. The equipment inspection system determines, based on the comparison, that the equipment differs from the expected state. The equipment inspection system may transmit data describing the current state of the equipment to an equipment manager. The equipment manager may schedule maintenance for the equipment based on the current state of the equipment.
Apparatus, method, and vehicle for providing braking level of forward vehicle
An apparatus, method, and vehicle for providing a braking level of a forward vehicle may quantify a degree of braking of the forward vehicle into a braking level and provide the braking level of the forward vehicle to a driver. The apparatus includes a brake lamp position recognizing device configured to recognize positions of brake lamps of the forward vehicle based on an image and a relative acceleration of the forward vehicle, a braking determining device configured to determine whether or not braking of the forward vehicle is performed based on a brake lamp image extracted from the image of the forward vehicle, a braking level determining device configured to determine a braking level of the forward vehicle based on the relative acceleration of the forward vehicle, and a braking level image providing device configured to provide the determined braking level of the forward vehicle through an image.
Vehicle with display device
A vehicle (10) for a driver (14) of the vehicle (10) and a display device (16) are provided. The display device (16) includes a projection surface (18) extending in the horizontal and vertical direction and a projector (20) that is configured so as to project a projection (24) onto the projection surface (18). The projection surface (18) is curved in the horizontal direction and surrounds the driver (14) in the horizontal direction by at least one hundred degrees. A method for displaying a projection (24) on a projection surface (18) for a driver (14) of a vehicle (10) is also provided. The method includes: d) determining a viewing direction and/or head orientation (26) of the driver (14) towards the projection surface (18); and f) projecting the projection (24) onto the projection surface (18) in the viewing direction and/or head orientation (26) of the driver (14).
Managing recreational vehicles and accessories
A vehicle is electrically connected to one or more accessories. The vehicle includes at least one controller that may be configured to identify the accessory based on accessory identification information. The controller may also be configured to provide one or more commands to control an operation of the accessory.
Plug-and-play stepper motor for a pointer display assembly
Systems and methods are disclosed and include a needle control module that includes a processor configured to execute instructions stored in a nontransitory computer-readable medium, a motor driver circuit in communication with the needle control module, the motor driver circuit controlling a stepper motor attached to a needle, and a housing enclosing the needle control module, the motor driver circuit, and the stepper motor, the housing being physically attached to a display of a vehicle. In response to the needle control module receiving a signal representing vehicle state information, the needle control module is configured to instruct the motor driver circuit to control movement of the stepper motor and adjust a position of the needle based on the signal.
CONVEYING VEHICLE-RELATED INFORMATION USING THERMAL TOUCH AND HAPTICS
A portable display apparatus for conveying vehicle-related information using thermal and haptic touch is provided. The portable display apparatus includes circuitry communicatively coupled to a temperature control unit of the portable display apparatus. The circuitry receives from one or more first sensors associated with a vehicle, first temperature information associated with an interior space of the vehicle or an ambient environment of the vehicle and determines a temperature setting based on received first temperature information. The circuitry detects a physical-contact between the portable display apparatus and one of a skin portion or a cloth portion worn by a user. Thereafter, the circuitry controls the temperature control unit based on the determined temperature setting and the detected physical-contact. The temperature control unit is controlled to change a current temperature of at least a first section of the portable display apparatus to a first temperature, which is different from the current temperature.
Display Device, Vehicle and Method for Operating a Display Device
A display device for the interior of a vehicle includes: (i) a display unit, which is designed for optical display of information and has a display element for this purpose and which can be or is arranged in a longitudinal extension direction of the vehicle behind a front row of seats, preferably on a roof lining of the vehicle; (ii) a movement unit, which is designed to move the display unit, in particular with the display element pivoted away from the roof lining of the vehicle, in the longitudinal extension direction, in particular controllably, between various working positions and/or to hold the display unit in a given working position; and (iii) a control unit which is designed to control the movement unit in such a way that the display unit and the display element are arranged at a predetermined first distance or first distance range from an element of the front row of seats.
IN-VEHICLE PHONE FINDER
A system and method for locating a portable electronic device that is paired with a vehicle that uses a plurality of antennas located on an exterior of a body of the vehicle, within an interior cabin of the vehicle, or located on the exterior of the body and within the interior cabin of the vehicle to communicate with the portable electronic device, and displays a location of the portable electronic device within or near the vehicle based on the communication between the plurality of antennas and the portable electronic device on a graphic display interface of the vehicle.
System and method for interpreting gestures
A system for interpreting gestures may include one or more processors, at least three Doppler radar devices, and a memory device. The memory device may have a receiving module, a cube generating module, and a classifying module. The receiving module may include instructions that cause the one or more processors to receive Doppler information from the at least three Doppler radar devices. The cube generating module may include instructions that cause the one or more processors to generate a micro-Doppler cube by projecting Doppler information in X, Y, and Z-directions over a period of time into the micro-Doppler cube. The classifying module may include instructions that cause the one or more processors to classify one or more gestures performed by an extremity when located in the volume into a category of a plurality of categories based on the micro-Doppler cube.
Work vehicle, object indication system, and method of indicating location of an object
A method of indicating to an operator of a work vehicle a relative location of an object, an object indication system, and a work vehicle are provided. The method includes sensing the object with one or more sensors positioned at one or more sensor positions on the work vehicle and activating one or more indicators positioned at one or more indicator positions relative to the operator based on the sensing of the object with the one or more sensors.
