Systems and methods for adaptive cruise control based on user defined parameters are disclosed. An example disclosed vehicle includes a GPS receiver configured to provide a location of the vehicle, an adaptive cruise control; and a cruise control adjuster. In the example cruise control adjuster is configured to generate an action when a cruise control event is defined for the location. In the disclosed example the cruise control event is based on past changes to the adaptive cruise control at the location. The example cruise control adjuster is also configured to apply the action to the adaptive cruise control to change how the adaptive cruise control controls the vehicle.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY DEVICE
The present application discloses a head-up display device which is mounted on a vehicle. The head-up display device includes a projection device which emits image light onto a reflective surface including a first area, and a second area below the first area. The image light includes first image light representing first information including information about an external factor outside the vehicle, and second image light representing second information about the vehicle itself. The projection device emits the first image light onto the first area and the second image light onto the second area.
Systems and methods for notification of exceeding speed limits
A wearable device is provided that includes a receiver, a processor, and a transducer. The receiver is configured to receive speed limit data indicative of a posted speed limit corresponding to a route or road upon which the wearable device is traveling. The processor is configured to compare the speed limit to a current speed of the wearable device and/or a vehicle in which the user wearing the wearable device is driving. The transducer is configured to deliver a haptic or other notification to a user upon which the wearable device is worn when the current speed exceeds the speed limit or exceeds the speed limit by a predetermined amount. As a result, safer driving and vehicle collision avoidance may be facilitated. Safe driving auto insurance discounts may be provided to drivers that use the safe driving or speed limit warning functionality discussed herein.
Method of synchronizing driving characteristics of different vehicles
The present disclosure provides a method of displaying the driving characteristics of a current vehicle in comparison with those of a previous vehicle and synchronizing the driving characteristics of the current vehicle with those of the previous vehicle by changing driving-characteristic-related setup data of the current vehicle in response to a driver request. Accordingly, the driving characteristics of the current vehicle is synchronized with the driving characteristics of the previous vehicle, and thus even if a driver drives a completely different type of vehicle, a familiar sense of traveling and sense of driving is provided.
