METHOD FOR GENERATING AND USING A TWO-DIMENSIONAL DRAWING HAVING THREE-DIMENSIONAL ORIENTATION INFORMATION
A two-dimensional drawing of a three-dimensional wire harness model is generated by selecting a starting node from a plurality of nodes of the three-dimensional wire harness model, where the starting node is directly connected to a first bundle and a second bundle of the plurality of bundles, wherein further each of the first and second bundles are representable by corresponding first and second vectors. A reference plane is defined based on an orientation of the starting node, the first vector and the second vector, such that a first adjacent node may then be mapped onto the reference plane by geometric translation. Thereafter, a plurality of mapping operations are sequentially carried out until each of the plurality of nodes and the plurality of bundles have been mapped, by geometric translation, to the reference plane, and wherein corresponding translation matrices are stored in association with corresponding ones of the plurality of mapped nodes and/or the plurality of mapped bundles. The two-dimensional drawing of the three-dimensional wire harness model may then be generated such that the two-dimensional drawing includes three-dimensional orientation data corresponding to the plurality of bundles.

TRUNCATED SQUARE PYRAMID GEOMETRY AND FRAME PACKING STRUCTURE FOR REPRESENTING VIRTUAL REALITY VIDEO CONTENT
Techniques and systems are described for mapping 360-degree video data to a truncated square pyramid shape. A 360-degree video frame can include 360-degrees' worth of pixel data, and thus be spherical in shape. By mapping the spherical video data to the planes provided by a truncated square pyramid, the total size of the 360-degree video frame can be reduced. The planes of the truncated square pyramid can be oriented such that the base of the truncated square pyramid represents a front view and the top of the truncated square pyramid represents a back view. In this way, the front view can be captured at full resolution, the back view can be captured at reduced resolution, and the left, right, up, and bottom views can be captured at decreasing resolutions. Frame packing structures can also be defined for 360-degree video data that has been mapped to a truncated square pyramid shape.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING INTERACTIVE 2D PROJECTION OF 3D MODEL
A method for generating an interactive 2D projection of a 3D model includes steps of applying hierarchical defect data to the 3D model of a multi-part object, generating heatmap data based at least in part on the hierarchical defect data, and overlaying the heatmap data on the 3D model. The method also includes steps of extracting data corresponding to the 3D model and including the heatmap data after the overlaying step, and creating the interactive 2D projection based on the extracted data.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING FISHEYE CAMERA IMAGE
Disclosed is an image analysis apparatus for analyzing a camera image. The image analysis apparatus for analyzing a camera image segments an input fisheye camera image into segmented images with a preset size field of view and superimposes the segmented images so that some regions overlap, performs dewarping on each of the segmented images, then combines the segmented images on which the dewarping is performed using a preset combination method, generates an analysis image, and detects objects included in the analysis image. In this case, the image analysis apparatus removes a result recognized as a duplicate from a detection result of the object by post-processing.
Method and electronic device for outputting guide
An electronic device according to one embodiment of the disclosure includes a display, a memory that stores an application for editing an image, and a processor that outputs the image through the application onto the display. The processor may be configured to output, on the display, the image, a first guide indicating an area to be cropped in the image, and a preview corresponding to the first guide in a first mode of the application. The processor may output, on the display, an image changed in accordance with a second mode in response to a user input to change a mode from the first mode to the second mode. The processor may output a second guide corresponding to the second mode on the display such that the preview corresponding to the first guide is output. In addition, various embodiments understood through the specification are possible.
Image processing apparatus and method of controlling the same
In order to efficiently provide an image suitable for detecting a defect in a structure, an image processing apparatus inputs an image and a parameter for geometrically correcting the image, calculates a resolution of a corrected image obtained in a case of geometrically correcting the image using the parameter, and displays resolution information relating to the calculated resolution in association with the image.
Method and Apparatus for Generating Sample Image and Electronic Device
A method, apparatus, and an electronic device relate to the field of augmented reality and deep learning technologies. The method includes acquiring a first image that includes a first display plane of a target planar object, and mapping the first image, to acquire a second image including a second display plane, wherein the second image is a front view of the target planar object, and the second display plane is acquired through mapping the first display plane into the second image. The method also includes acquiring a first region in the second image, wherein the first region includes a region where the second display plane is located, and the first region is larger than the region where the second display plane is located. The method furthermore includes generating a sample image in accordance with an image of the first region.
BOOK SCANNING USING MACHINE-TRAINED MODEL
This application discloses a technology for flattening a photographed page of a book and straightening texts therein. The technology uses one or more mathematical models to represent a curved shape of the photographed page with certain parameters. The technology also uses one or more photographic image processing techniques to dewarp the photographed page using the parameters of the curved shape. The technology uses one or more additional parameters that represent certain features of the photographed page to dewarp the photographed page.
Reality-based three-dimensional infrastructure reconstruction
Two-dimensional aerial images and other geo-spatial information are processed to produce land classification data, vector data and attribute data for buildings found within the images. This data is stored upon a server computer within shape files, and also stored are source code scripts describing how to reconstruct a type of building along with compiled versions of the scripts. A software game or simulator executes upon a client computer in which an avatar moves within a landscape. A classifier classifies a type of building in the shape file to execute the appropriate script. Depending upon its location, a scene composer downloads a shape file and a compiled script is executed in order to reconstruct any number of buildings in the vicinity of the avatar. The script produces a three-dimensional textured mesh which is then rendered upon a screen of the client computer to display a two-dimensional representation of the building.
