NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATION DEVICE, TERMINAL DEVICE HAVING THE SAME, AND OPERATION METHOD OF THE NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATION DEVICE
A near field communication (NFC) device includes a phase detector for receiving a reference clock signal, detecting a phase of the reference clock signal, outputting a generated clock signal having a frequency synchronized with the reference clock signal, and storing phase information of the generated clock signal as a first digital code. A phase delay calculator compares the phase of the generated clock signal applied from the phase detector and a reference phase to calculate a delta value while performing an active load modulation (ALM) operation and stores the delta value as a second digital code. A transmission clock signal generator reflects phase information stored as the first digital code and the second digital code to output a transmission clock signal. Accordingly, the NFC device controls the phase of the transmission clock signal applied to the antenna of the reader device to have optimal load modulation amplitude (LMA).
ANTENNA DEVICE AND PORTABLE WIRELESS DEVICE USING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is an antenna device that includes a planar coil pattern having first, second, third and fourth sections, the first and second sections being opposite to each other, and the third and fourth sections being opposite to each other, and a metal layer having at least one aperture. A part of the first section and a part of the second section overlap the metal layer, and a remaining part of the first section and a remaining part of the second section overlap the aperture. A part or an entirety of both the third and fourth sections overlaps the metal layer or the aperture.

An electronic wireless communication device is provided, comprising: a wireless communication means for communicating with a wireless communication initiating device; means for monitoring a communication signal received by the wireless communication means; means for sending at least a first characteristic value relating to the communication signal received by the wireless communication means to at least one other electronic wireless communication device; means for receiving at least a further characteristic value relating to a communication signal received by the at least to one other electronic wireless communication device; and processing means for carrying out a comparison based on the first characteristic value and the further characteristic value, wherein the electronic wireless device is configured to selectively activate communication with the wireless communication initiating device based on the result of the comparison. A system and method is also provided for communicating between an electronic wireless communication device of a plurality of electronic wireless communication devices and a wireless communication initiating device that can read one of the electronic wireless communication devices.
LOW POWER DEVICE CONFIGURATION
Techniques for systems, methods, and devices for configuring an electronic device for use by a particular end-user. The electronic device can include a low power wireless communication device that transmits a periodic or occasional low power wireless beacon signal. A user operating a computing device within the proximity of the electronic device can detect the beacon signal and establish a corresponding low power wireless communication session. The computing device can then transmit configuration settings specific to the electronic device through the low power wireless communication session to the corresponding low power wireless communication device. The configuration data can be stored in a memory on the low power wireless medication device. When the electronic device coupled to the low power wireless communication device is powered up, it can access the configuration data stored in the memory.

Power is transmitted to an implanted receiving coil oriented such that an axis of the receiving coil is parallel to skin of a subject. A transmitting coil is in a housing, which is placed against the skin. A central axis of the transmitting coil is perpendicular to the skin. A portion of the transmitting coil is over the receiving coil. A first distance, from the axis of the transmitting coil to a center of the receiving coil, is greater than a second distance, from the axis of the transmitting coil to an inner edge of the portion of the transmitting coil. The first distance is less than a third distance, from the axis of the transmitting coil to an outer edge of the portion of the transmitting coil. Circuitry powers the implant by driving current through the transmitting coil that induces current in the receiving coil.

Provided is an electronic device that increases operability when writing information (for example, unique user information) that allows writing to a wireless tag from the outside. The electronic device of the present disclosure includes a storage device that stores first registered information; a wireless tag that stores second registered information; and a system-control unit that updates contents of the second registered information based on the first registered information; wherein the system-control unit updates contents of information other than information that allows writing when there is writing to the wireless tag from the outside.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GUIDING CARD POSITIONING USING PHONE SENSORS
A position alignment system facilitates positioning of a contactless card in a ‘sweet spot’ in a target volume relative to a contactless card reading device. Alignment logic uses information captured from available imaging devices such as infrared proximity detectors, cameras, infrared sensors, dot projectors, and the like to guide the card to a target location. The captured image information is processed to identify a card position, trajectory and predicted location using one or both of a machine learning model and/or a Simultaneous Localization and Mapping logic. Trajectory adjustment and prompt identification may be intelligently controlled and customized using machine-learning techniques to customize guidance based on the preference and/or historical behavior of the user. As a result, the speed and accuracy of contactless card alignment is improved and received NFC signal strength is maximized, thereby reducing the occurrence of dropped transactions.
Wireless communication between electronic devices in close proximity
A method of communicating between a first electronic communication device of a plurality of electronic communication devices and a wireless communication initiating device for reading the first electronic communication device. The method comprises receiving, at the first electronic communication device, a communication signal from the wireless communication initiating device and determining a first characteristic value relating to the communication signal. The method further comprises receiving at least a second characteristic value relating to a communication signal received by at least a second electronic communication device that is connected to the first electronic communication device and initiating communication with a reading device based on the first and second value.
