SWITCH CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A switch control method and apparatus, and a storage medium are provided, which relate to the field of urban rail transit technologies. The method includes: in a process that a train requests a target object for a switch resource, determining that the train is a train before and nearest a switch in combination with switch information sent from an object controller; when the switch is in an idle state, requesting the object controller to move the switch if it is determined that a current switch orientation of the switch is inconsistent with a switch orientation required by the train for the switch, so that the object controller controls to move the switch, and adjusts a status of the switch to a locked state after the switch is moved; and controlling the train to pass through the switch according to a response message returned by the object controller.
Method for operating a rail vehicle
A method for operating a rail vehicle includes transmitting an identifier for a software component and/or an identifier for a hardware component of a control system of a rail vehicle. The identifier is transmitted from a computation unit of the rail vehicle to a stationary central computation unit, at least at one predetermined point in time.
VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method includes applying a brake system of a multi-vehicle system using an onboard controller device and receiving grade input at the onboard controller device from a remote controller device. The grade input indicates a grade of a surface on which the multi-vehicle system is disposed. The method further includes starting movement responsive to receiving a speed command signal at the onboard controller device from the remote controller device. The movement started by initiating release of the brake system and/or generating tractive effort from a propulsion system of the multi-vehicle system stretches the multi-vehicle system. The method further includes, responsive to the movement reaching a designated speed, switching to a closed loop control process of controlling the movement based on one or more of the speed command signal or a brake command signal received at the onboard controller device from the remote controller device.
VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A vehicle control system an onboard controller device to interface with a propulsion system and a brake system. A remote controller device wirelessly communicates with the onboard controller device and receives input from an operator, generates control signals based on the input, wirelessly communicates the control signals to the onboard controller device while the vehicle system moves along one or more main line routes. A method includes receiving input from an operator at a remote controller device, generating control signals at the remote controller device based on the input from the operator, wirelessly communicating the control signals to an onboard controller device, controlling one or more of a propulsion system or a brake system of the vehicle system to change movement of the vehicle system while the vehicle system moves along one or more main line routes.
END-OF-TRAIN DEVICE WITH AUDIO SUPPORT
An improved End-of-Train device suitable for mounting on a train is disclosed. The End-of-Train device comprises an audio input unit configured to detect an audio input associated with at least one event, and to generate an audio signal based on the audio input. The event is one of an utterance of a voice command by a railway personnel or an incident that potentially impacts an operation of the train. The End-of-Train device further comprises a memory and a processing unit communicatively coupled to the memory. The processing unit is configured to execute one or more instructions in the memory to analyze an audio input to identify one or more actions to be performed by the End-of-Train device and to initiate execution of the one or more actions identified. Further, a notification may be generated based on execution of the one or more actions.
System and method for protecting a communication between a balise and a guided vehicle from cross-talk
An on-board device is configured for reading a telegram of a balise installed at a point along a route followed by a guided vehicle in which the on-board device is to be installed. The on-board device includes a receiver having an antenna for picking up the telegram transmitted by the balise and delivering a reception signal to a processing unit. The processing unit is configured for processing the reception signal in order to read the telegram sent by the balise. A test component is configured for adding a test signal to the reception signal before its processing by the processing unit. The test signal is configured to act as a noise for limiting a sensitivity of the receiver, making it therefore impossible to read a cross-talk signal. A method for protecting the on-board device from cross-talk is also provided.
MOBILE RAILWAY ASSET MONITORING APPARATUS AND METHODS
In one aspect, a method of monitoring a mobile railway asset is provided including detecting a strain of a component of a mobile railway asset and gathering data associated with a vibration of the mobile railway asset. The method includes comparing the strain of the component and the data associated with the vibration of the mobile railway asset. The method includes determining a load state of the mobile railway asset based at least in part on the comparison of the strain of the component and the data associated with the vibration of the mobile railway asset.
Device for processing data of rolling stock
A device configured to process data comprised in data messages passing on message buses of a rolling stock comprises: a universal input interface receiving data messages complying with the three following physical layers: RS232; RS485; CAN. From the message buses, the data messages comprise data; a processing engine receiving a remote requested configuration comprising one or more processing rules; a standardizing unit decoding the data messages into standardized data streams in function of the remote requested configuration; and wherein the processing engine further applies one or more of the one or more processing rules of the standardized data streams in function of the remote requested configuration.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING CANDIDATE VEHICLE SYSTEMS
A system is provided that includes a controller having one or more processors. The one or more processors may be configured to obtain first vehicle system data from a first vehicle system of plural vehicle systems based on a common characteristic shared by the plural vehicle systems, and obtain second vehicle system data from a second vehicle system of the plural vehicle systems, the second vehicle system data based on the common characteristic shared by the two or more vehicle systems. The one or more processors may also be configured to compare the first vehicle system data to the second vehicle system data, and identify one of the first vehicle system or the second vehicle system as a candidate vehicle system for maintenance based on comparing the first vehicle system data to the second vehicle system data.
VEHICLE SYSTEM WITH SECOND POWER SOURCE
A system may be provided that includes a first power source configured to supply power to a communication system of a vehicle system to communicate a signal from a first vehicle of the vehicle system to a second vehicle of the vehicle system. The system may include a second power source configured to supply power to the communication system to communicate the signal from the first vehicle to the second vehicle, and a controller. The controller may obtain an operational parameter, and communicate the signal based on the operational parameter when the first power source supplies power to the communication system. The controller may be configured to communicate the signal utilizing the power from the second power source based on the operational parameter when the first power source does not supply power to the communication system.
